Deported to liberia?

My friend was deported to Liberia On may 15th 2007. He lived in New York City since he was 5 years old and is now 19 years of age. He was convicted of Att Robbery 1st Degree Class C and was suppose to serve max 3 years 6 months. They have not yet set a date of which he will leave the country. I am not sure if he is an U.S citizen yet. What are the steps to removal and do you think he will ever be aloud back in the country. If Liberia is a war torn country can he say he will be in harms way? And what will I have to do to visit him.

Answer:
First he is lucky if they don't make him do jail time and deport him after that.He is not s citizen if he is being deported and No he will not be allowed in US even if there is a war because his status will be revoked at deportation.

I honestly think he can contribute to his own country of origin a great deal.
If he is being deported then he is not a citizen. He can't argue that he will be "in harms way." He is being deported because he was convicted of a violent crime, so that will not fly.

To visit him in Liberia? Probably just obtain a visa.
