Why do so many people keep coming up with the 'immigrants do all the jobs we don't want to do' crap?

thanks for asking. ive been saying the same but no one listens. where i work there used to be lots of mums, school leavers, students and older people that were made redundant from good jobs but still wanting to work. now there is only polish people because they will start at 5am. mums cant. they will work 60+plus hours for flat rate. overtime rate has been stopped. bosses admire this so english people are no longer welcome. students cant get work in bars etc because immigrants are there working for lowest rate. its very bad here for english workers. they have children to care for so they cant work silly hours. they have mortgages etc. and they are driven out by greedy bosses who want blood
Because they don't know that illegals are taking the following jobs:
Roofers, cement workers, brink layers, carpentry, factory workers, machine operators, and jobs with big employers like Lykes, Tyson Foods, Swift foods and many others.
Everyone just assumes they just pick fruit.
Because they have no sensible answer to give, so it's alot easier to make things up.
It's true there is no job that "no one" wants to do, if the employers would pay a reasonable wage plenty of people would do the jobs

Because it is true. Most illegals will work long and hard for way below minimum wage standards. Amen to greed !! Here in the States they have allowed many Hispanics to stay legally with a work visa !! Check out the I -35 corridor.Mex trucks will be able to come from Mexico to Canada WITHOUT having to abide by DOT regs ! Most of their "Big Trucks" are pure D junk !! Part of the problem with society now i feel sorry for school leavers who if nothing else could get temp jobs ! Now they are all filled by europeans where are they supposed to start on the work ladder ?
This excuse is being used in many places in the world. According to some people only people that have been through the experience of immigrating are capable and willing to work. But the truth is that employers do not want to pay legal wages to citizens if they can pay an immigrant less. Has anyone noticed that the list of jobs that 'we (US citizens) won't do' keeps getting longer and longer? Apparently we won't even be computer programmers anymore (if employers have their way).
And why should they pay someone more because he/she is legal. This is America and America is about capitalism. I'm trying to make the most money possible and paying less in labor means I make more money. If you don't like it, you're a communist!

politicsguy: you obviously dont live in the real world. MANY of these immigrant workers work cash in hand. also many work for straight time when a UK (indigenous worker) would get more.
In Wisbech Cambridgeshire a local girl was refused a job in the local factory/packing plant because she couldn`t speak Polish. The boss though that there would be a communication problem. This happened quite recently and the MP for that area was going to `look into it?`

The minimum wage in the Uk is $11.00 per hour US dollars five pounds 50 pence Uk.
In USA the Minimum wage is as low as $3 per hour- one pound 50 pence for certain waiting/ bar jobs in some states. (Houston Texas TGI Friday’s)
Generally nationally it is about $5 an hour two pounds 50 pence Uk
Out of that useless wage we have to pay for health care medical costs too.
My point is, if you think you have it bad over there you should come here and see if you can live off half your wages.
I believe that your Government actually pay more money for workers to stay home not working, so it is no good having a job unless you get an average job earning 12 to 15 pounds an hour
So British people won't do those five pounds 50 pence jobs anyway as they are better off staying home, getting their rent/ mortgage paid, Job Seekers Allowance, Child Benefit, Child Tax Credit, free education free Health and medical, Free Skills Training at college Free Dentist, Free Eye care and spectacles, free Drugs/ prescriptions. Free meals for Kids
There is no need to pay travel to and from work or buying Lunch and drinks at work, no paying for child care whilst at work, pick up drop off.
British people can't afford to do those Jobs you talk about, that's why they don't do them.
Now who does do these jobs for you, legal immigrants from Europe who do not speak English, that’s who, they work long and hard in the Terrible weather to put groceries on your store shelves. I have read about big companies bringing in hundreds of workers from Europe as there are no able or willing people to do the work locally.
Your argument is misconstrued, your unemployment rate is low, people on the DOLE do not want these jobs anyway.
I am sure you just don't want foreigners in your country and are using this taking our jobs line as an excuse.

Here is the financials of a UK father with 1 child.
Child benefit £18.00, Child Tax Credit £46.00, Job seekers Allowance £59.00, council Tax £27.00, Rent or Mortgage £126.00 Total = £276.00 per week divide by 40 hours = £6.90 per hour UK pounds
Now if you don't go to work, additional savings are:- travel to work & Back £20.00, Lunch, Parking, Water drinks £10.00
If you have a partner/wife add a further £50.00. This all cone to over £8.00 per hour. $320.00 per week.
To bring home £320.00 per week after taxes and national insurance you would have to actually earn 25% more to break even wich would be $400.00 per week divide by 40 hours gives you £10.00 per hour or £20,800.00 per year to go to work rather than stay home and watch TV, go on the internet etc, spend time with your family.
So you say you will work 40 hours a week for half that money?
you are a fool or your home life is very bad, anyway I don't beleive you anyway.
My point is £5.50 per hour is not enough to go to work when you can get £10.00 an hour to stay home, pay them £10.00 an hour and then those people on benefits will go to work.
I am on holiday in the UK visiting my family and a wedding till November, that s how I know so much about it, and the USA situation too. I have been living in the USA for 8 years in California and I would never move back here permanently, it's the pits.
It is worse in America than here, yours are Legal Europeans, Polish etc, theirs are Illegal Mexicans, there is a big difference as the Europeans will keep coming, there is no way of stopping it (EEC rules etc)
Unfortunately the Uk is now the place to be apparently, with people coming here from everywhere and in years to come there are going to be massive problems.Believe !!
