Is the dual citizenship ( USA/MEX) exclusive for Mexicans and Americans? What about other Latin countries?
Answer:
First ?: Ireland also does the dual citizenship thing.
Second?: Dunno.
Most countries have dual citizenships with the US because this works to the advantage of other countries to have access to America for trade and technology purposes.
I think it should be one or the other. Choose your allegiance and kiss the other on goodbye forever.
Just Mexicans naturalized U.S Citizens, or Americans naturalized Mexican citizens qualify.
Most inhabitants in the border area have both nationalities.
Under U.S. law you can not have citizenship in any other country. If you know someone that has dual citizenship you should report them to the U.S. Immigration, I am sure they can help with one or the other citizenship.
Only the Irish, Scottish, Israelis, Mexicans, and British qualify for dual citizenship.
There are many Latin countries that have extended dual citizenship recognition with the United States. Some include:
Brazil
Chile
Colombia
Costa Rica
Dominican Republic
Ecuador
El Salvador
Panama
Peru
Uruguay
So, it is not exclusive to Mexico or the UK
There are many countries that we offer dual citizenship with. The list is actually too long to list...
