Why do i have to wait three years every time I travel to Cuba?
Answer:
You're lucky you can, most Americans can't.
Blame the exiled Cuban community in Miami and their representative, Lincoln Diaz-Balart. He's in Congress and an extremely estranged nephew of Castro who is extremely anti-Castro.
It is the exiled community who has kept the embargo going with its added restrictions.
The reason is because the U.S. has an embargo against Cuba because it is a communist country.
The Freedom? The Bush Adminstration borrowed it and never gave it back. I think you can go to cuba still, you just have to travel from another country. But im not sure.
The 3 year restriction is part of the tightening of the embargo that George W Bush passed a few years ago, unfortunately.
We have a travel ban because they are communist. I think it's a good thing, why can't you move back and stay there? Then you could see your family everday instead of complaining in the USA.
You are just another example on why all countries should open it's borders. It simply is not moral to keep families separated.
