I think it is ruining our schools for our own children and our other services for our own people, and is driving down wages and benefits.

Only the truly delusional can possibly believe that we will ever be able to totally stop illegal immigration. As long as this country is the beacon of freedom for the world, some folks are going to try and get here any way they can.
No, I don't think that illegal aliens should be able to stay in the USA...Illegal aliens are not only Mexicans they are from all around the world.
They need to BUILD the FENCE, HIRE MORE BORDER AGENTS, AND FINE BUSINESSES WHO HIRE THEM ALONG WITH MAKING IT ILLEGAL FOR PEOPLE TO RENT TO THEM OR GIVE THEM LOANS FOR HOUSES.
If we did these measures then they would self deport!
i believe there are two sides to the story. there are way to many aliens in the country. its taking all the jobs away. economy is going way down. i dont believe they should have rights until they become us citizens. thats just insane.
another side is i work for a company that quite a few of our plants wouldnt operate if it wasnt for mexicans. to be honest the general population wouldnt want to do them jobs.
and i also agree with carlos mencia. if we drove all the mexicans out to build a huge fence, who would build it?

illegal immigration was no option for me when I wanted to come to America because I knew that with proper legal preparation I would have no problem to be admitted to this country.
I think that if people want to come into this nation, they should have enough respect for it to follow its laws! That means coming in legally!
What should be done? Use the money that is wasted on that stupid war to hire more border patrol agents, allow the local city/state law enforcement to detain illegal immigrants, and fine the hell out of anyone that is aiding the illegal immigrant so they can stay in this country illegally - that means those that rent/sell them housing, those that hire them, and those that get them phony documentation! I would fine them until they were just short of going out of business/filing bankrupcy. Make it really hurt, and people will be less likely to violate the law.
I would also allow the city/state governments to pass the illegal immigration legislation they wish that ISN'T covered by the Federal Government. They are the ones that ultimately pay the price of illegal immigration - they take the economic hit, and blow their budgets when there are more kids to educate than the census/population counts would dictate, and things like that. So if they have to suck the expenses up, they should be able to legislate what is to be done to help them remain in their budget.
We should deport all the illegals AND THEIR CHILDREN BORN HERE ILLEGALLY. Don't be fooled, folks - the government knows where they are, where they work, and who they are. They just choose to look the other way. If pressed enough, then I think they might do some sort of action. . .
I don't think we should call it illegal immigration - that gives it a suggestion of some kind of immigration process. Call it what it is 'criminal entry into the country'.
Those who support this criminal activity moved to 'good speech' like 'undocumented' instead of criminal. Now they've convinced everyone to call it 'illegal immigration' and now they want to blur the debate using immigration and illegal immigration interchangeably.
Remember - NOT immigrants, but CRIMINALS.
Mexicans are allowed to come to America LEGALLY. Everyone knows the risk of illegally entering the U.S. until the law changes there should be no surprise that you may get deported some day. Some make it some get caught. That's the way the it is, always has been and will be for a long time.
Every Saturday when I go to Wal-Mart, it is full of Mexicans. I doubt that even half of them are legal. They are rude. I recently went into a local Mexican store in my hometown, and got nothing but dirty looks. I am in favor of doing whatever it takes to stop illegal immigration. I don't care if Mexico is poor. It's not my problem.

i am against it but lawmakers are not persistent enough to enforce the laws. Not until an illegal hit and run over their loved one like they do us, then maybe they would be more persistent in getting these laws enforced
Mexicans can apply and come legally when their status is granted officially. Then they would be immigrants.
Illegal aliens are NOT immigrants. There is huge distinction here.
Immigrants respect the law. Illegal aliens break it by setting foot across the border.

First time, signs a document stating that at no time will they ever be given any status in the USA
Second time, one year tent jail
Third and each time after that. one year for each time they crossed the border illegally
Also Business that hires illegals the second time have to serve time in the same tent jail as the illegals
