Hey, don't pretend that too much is asked of immigrants about America and its history and that the average US citizen doesn't know what an aspiring immigrant-citizen needs to know. I'll tell you that when an immigrant applies for citizenship, they are given a package that includes all pertinent information about the USA and its history that they will be tested on for citizenship. The immigrant is expected to study the information and it is nothing more demanding than what a 7th grader would need to be able to learn by studying. Sure, the average adult US citizen may not know all of the information out of the blue, but how many of you remember everything you were taught in school, several years later. However, if you were given the package of information given to immigrants to study for citizenship, and you studied it for a day or two, you would be able to pass the citizenship test with flying colors. I'll tell you also, it is not rocket science to study to pass the citizenship test. In fact, most of those immigrants would not be able to answer the same questions about their own home countries, unless they were given the information package ahead of time, as they are given when applying for US citizenship. So, cry me a river, okay?

I remember when my dad was studying for his citizenship test & I was amazed at the questions they asked. On that test I couldn't even get past the second page of questions. I kind of don't understand why people taking the test would need to know most of those things. The test is kind of a joke to me.
Thanks for the test I scored 27 though I must admit some of the answers I gave were just dumb luck .It was just by chance I hit the right key on five others.The real score should have been 22
So - I got 6 wrong . But I did not recently study and study and memorize and study some more.
The ones that got wrong were the admentments numbers.

I scored 22. The amendments are what messed me up. My 17 year old son took it and scored 28.
ugh, i missed 4, not good. by the way, we do have an official language, it's English. 14th amendment says we are to speak in the language our Constitution was written in. if it wouldn't have been for that question i would have missed only 3.
add on: to everyone out there who thinks this test is a joke. when i was going into the 9th grade in Chicago, Illinois we had to study what you see on this test, plus more to go on to the 9th grade. if we did not pass, we didn't graduate.
