I've been in a long-distance relationship with a canadian guy for two years. I went to visit him earlier this year and he wanted us to make concrete plans for our relationship. I am currently in the US on vacation. He says we should just go get married in Las Vegas before I go home to Asia. I don't want to tell my family about this until after it's done, if i choose to go through with it. I just want to know If i will need to re-apply for a new passport once i get home because i need to have my status changed and all that. Will doing that make it harder for me to go to Canada or easier, if we were already married? Or will it be better to just go to Canada as a tourist again and get married there?

I am going to assume that you are not a US Citizen, if you married here in the U.S. is not going to make you a citizen from the U.S. It should not affect your citizenship from your home country.
After you get married you might want to update your passport. If you plan to live in Canada, you might want to ask your husband to summit the proper documentation so you can live in Canada legally.
for you 2 to get married in the united states you both will need passports and blodd work and also a marage lience. it is best you tell your faimly before hand .also canadais not under us laws . also i do not think you both will be able to be married in the united states. before any thing is set i would do alot of research on this before you both do anything
