Let's see, they go to public schools, get police and fire protection, any hospital will have to treat them if it's an emergency. If they have children that are born here the children are citizens and open up access to other government services such as food stamps.
The fact is, the federal government makes no effort to deport them so it's not a problem for them. As to laying low, how many of them marched in the protest rallies not too long ago? Anyone get deported from those? Nope.
I don't know about there but the ones in Michigan don't even try hiding it. There are thousands of them all over picking crops, living in trailers in the fields, collecting food stamps and using the emergency room as a free doctors office.
Yes they can. Up until recently they were using public assistance here in Az.(I know because I live here and have seen reports on the topic). The law finally got passed that status must be proven.
In Texas, illegals are still getting assistance. Whitegirl has the link to the application for assistance rules etc. which she posted already and it clearly said illegals qualify.
Besides that,many are using fradulent documents etc.

No, they aren't laying low. They have fake ID. And besides, validity of documents are not checked. If they look okay, they are used as ID to get benefits. They don't have ICE come and check to see if the ID is valid, legal ID. Same as people who make good fake ID's so that minors can go drink. The bars don't call in the cops to check every ID.
Laying low?? Are you kidding me? Do you open your eyes? Read the news? They hold rallies, protests, etc. They are the ones pushing to get every benefit that citizens born here have coming to them. They don't have to lay low because we have 20 million of them here, and they are not being sent back and being kept over there with tight border control.

I live in a border country, and the food stamp process involves a card that looks like a charge card, emblazened with the food stamp logo. I have seen countless people, unable to speak this language using them. Those who are here to become citizens would be learning our language. Go check out the numbers. They get more benefits than people born here ever will, and they still demand more.

My girlfriend works in a hospital in NC. They don't check for citizenship, so you can get free health care. It is a fact. They also don't check citizenship at the DMV, so they can get driver's licenses too.
Identity theft? I know people (I live in Miami) who use other people's ssn's...and social services are totally underfunded and understaffed to handle actually checking up on people who receive government aid. It's easy enough for an illegal immigrant to have a child here and then collect under thier child's name without anyone ever checking on it.
And very good point to whoever wrote that they didn't get deported when they were out having rallies and parades...the signs that said Justice for Illegals actually made me laugh...if you're not a legal citizen you deserve no justice and you should have no rights...do you think that I would have a reasonable expectation of being treated fairly if i were to try to find a job or break the law in Mexico? I'd be lucky to get out alive.

Scott L is wrong - I live in NC and they do not get free services here or in SC either. They have to show proof of visa or legal status and they can check SS#'s at our social services offices in this state since 2001. Hospitals have to accept anyone that comes in for medical assistance. It is the law and it is also the oath the doctors take to treat people. Many do pay their bills beleive it or not. I have a friend in medical billing that says that the ones who do make their payments every month and pay on time are mostly those with the Hispanic last name. She said it is very sad that she doesn't see more Americans on that list.
Anchor babies are no longer admitted. Since Nov. 2006 no child born in the US is considered an automatic citizen. They can get help from WIC for their child under 10 for nutritional education and assistance with milk but no free healthcare except for infants and their immunizations up till 2yrs of age.
Maybe those of you that live in states that do not have that criteria should look to your own states to follow suit.
DMV in the state of NC will not allow drivers licenses without proof of legal status. They just caught 23 Turkish immigrants that came in from New Jersey trying to get Drivers licenses and they even offered to buy them from the DMV lady at the counter. If you have an old license that is about to expire and you are illegal and your Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) is flagged because there is not history of govt documentation or proof of residency from you last DL then they will ask for it.
There is a way to check SS#'s to see if they are valid - look at your ss card and drag your nail across the pillars on each side of the card you will feel ridges. These are heat embossed that is why you do not feel it on the backside of the card. If there are no ridges then it is fake. Many of our govt employees no this. Maybe you should let your state know.

Public services do not report illegals to INS. Go to the Government accounting office pages and look at the reports. Big costs, little return.
Sure they get government services. All they need are fake documents or a child who is born here and is considered a citizen. They obviously aren't laying low if they are protesting on our streets.
Depends on which state you live in. Some they get free college education at state schools while citizens and legal residents have to pay.
They get free treatment at hospitals, there are free clinics designed for the poor and homeless but are flooded by illegals and tax dollars are wasted to give them vaccines for diseases that were eradicated here years ago(many people say that's made up but if you walk by a free clinic there are signs in Spanish offering these shots and promising not to report you to INS)

Go to an emergency room. There you will see large signs on the walls saying, "We MUST treat you regardless of your ability to pay" in Spanish. They are tying up emergency rooms to the point that ERs are collapsing all over the country, receiving free care and hospitalization, free welfare, spewing forth tons of babies they can't pay for, sucking dry all the resources - and then to top all that off they are even getting homes while hardworking Americans can't:

I have a disabled friend. This person was desperate and tried to go to the local welfare office. The room was filled with illegals. The persons who were behind the desk and handing out the money were, guess what? So the disabled person was denied, while the illegals were given free money, free rent, and free medical!! And these are able-bodied people who you would think would be GLAD are not incapacitated and able to work!

True, my niece worked at our local Dfacs office and in order to get food stamps or medicaid you have to prove that you are a citizen, and have a SS#. The children do receive medicaid, or other state funded medical care. They can get WIC, which is a service to help provide milk for women, infant, and children. I know I will get alot of thumbs down for speaking the truth, but I even called for a friend of mine who was left to raise her child on her own when the father of the baby returned to Mexico, and she was unable to get any assistance. This might just be my state but I would be pretty sure that most would need proof of your residency to get benefits.
