How many U.S Citizens are currently living in Mexico as Immigrants ?
?
However, I am glad that most of them are learning Spanish and are also eager to learn the Mexican style.
Regards,
from Mexico!
Answer:
they would either be in jail in the states, or living in worst conditions with their retirement cheques
I'm just guessing all those American retirees who flock down there can make ends meet on their retirement checks better than in the USA.The medication isn't expensive either.It's the same reason they flock to Panama every year also.
No offense...I have taken a couple of years of Spanish in High School and I wish that Mexican Americans would be more eager to learn English. What Schwartenegger said, about Mexicans learing English is true: They should learn English, but that doesn't mean they should stop speaking their native language...they should be able to be biligual. It would be easier on kids in school, too. They would be able to learn faster, instead of taking their regular courses and ESL (English as a Second Language).
Since Mexico has very strict and enforced laws regarding immigration, you may assume the following.
The Americans there:
• have the means to sustain themselves economically;
• not destined to be burdens on society;
• of economic and social benefit to society;
• of good character and have no criminal records; and
• contributors to the general well-being of the nation.
You may also assume:
that if they break the law, run out of money, develop bad health they will be deported.
That is Mexican law.
You are "glad" they are integrating, speak Spanish.
Well, so am I.
I would be much happier if Mexicans who came here reciprocated and respected our laws by entering legally, speaking English and had financial means to support themselves without use of American taxpayer dollars, had good character and no criminal background.
