Are Mexicans, Italians & Germans the largest groups of " Legal immigrants" ?

So... wonder why are Mexicans , Italians, & Germans everywhere!

1) Mexicanos
2) Germans
3) Italians.
Up until the last few years, believe it or not, was English.
There are statistics for immigration into the USA. Germans where among the largest group of immigrants before WW1. Most likely 2/3 of the white US population has German anchestry. Today however, I doubt, that a lot of Germans immigrate to the USA. Why would you leave a beautiful country with lots of trees on no Bush. However, Mexicans, Latin Americans, Cubans, Carribians come for the economical opportunities, they don't have in their own country. Asians are the group with the highest average income and love the space and greenery we have here. I believe, they are one of the biggest group of immigrants.
Guess it depends on what point in history you're talking about.
