Why are Americans so surprised with so many MExicans?

Why are you so surprised that there are so many Mexicans in the US? especially in the south? it used to be part of Mexico and YOU took it away..you think you can go..and invade a country..destroy it tare it apart and just suffer no consequences? and this is just the beggining...all Mexicans do is go and live in the land that used to belong to them.this is all their revenge...wait unitl the iraquis , afghans, Iranians and palestinians take revenge.its going to be fun! ill store some popcorn next to the TV...to see the BBC...jjejeje

Answer:
because the illegal immigrants are leaches on our society.
They take everything and contribute nothing.
This parasitic mentality has to be stopped.
cuz they wanna live here?
Uh, because this is not Mexico?

And, if you learn the history, we didn't take it away...We WON it from Mexico...and then even to the extent of giving Mexico MORE MONEY a few years later.

Sounds to me like you are making TERRORISTIC THREATS HERE. Not a good idea.
Nerd.
this is a racist question and I think you proved your self to be a racist .
You should always proof read your work before submitting it. Your misspelled words and typos make you sound even more unintelligent than your silly rant.
Your funny british. Your country have done great mistakes by splitting Pakistan from India... And you too will have a price to pay later... And your even less lucky than those Americans, as the Indians are over 1 billions in population...
So you will get plenty of trouble later I am sure of it!!
I see what you mean, but technically we took it from the Native Americans, and they still have their reserves. The problem is they are coming illegally and making some Americans suffer on the unemployment list. Of course its fine if you come llegaly, but other than that, i would like to order my Subway in english, please.
Don't be a dipsh*t...Stop flaming the fear, Hispanics live here, because they wanted to flee the oppressive Mexican govt, the last thing they want is another Mexico.
we payed for what we got off the leech country. do us a favor, just go back to the hole you crawled out of. we a re sick of hearing the ignorance that comes out of mexicos mouth. now i know why mexican Americans can't stand mexicans from mexico. damn goobers.
True, but the U.S. has had Texas for more than 200 years.

I'm not surprised they are here. In fact, I live in Austin Tx. and I believe Mexican culture and heritage belong here. However, you still need to be a documented worker or citizen so you are contributing to taxes. If you take part in the services and goods our government provides, its only fair
Because the corrupt Mexican government that keeps their own people poor have no effect on Mexicans daily life. Some people are very short sighted, plus with those blinders you have on. It must be very hard to see.
There's nothing surprising about it. Draw an imaginary line through a desert. On one side, you place unparalelled economic opportunity, freedom, and legally mandated tollerance. On the other, you place poverty, corruption, and racism. Then you do basically nothing to keep people from crossing said immaginary line.

What results would you expect?

Where that immaginary line may have been in the past is prettymuch irrellevant.
They're just getting the works americans don't want to do they say that its because they deserve more but still don't want to do them, why are they on their houses cleaning their dogs instead or watching tv?
And guess what unemployment rate its lower now than before.

" The economic importance of Mexican workers will only continue to grow as job openings for unskilled and semi-skilled workers increase. Governmental and private sector leaders concerned about strengthening the productivity of the American workforce should therefore implement steps to maximize the contributions of Mexican workers and minimize any hindrances associated with their admission and integration into the country.

Maximizing the contributions of Mexican workers can take the form of facilitating the ability of American employers to legally hire needed Mexican workers: to help, as President Bush has said "willing employers to get together with willing employees." NOTE 8 This can be achieved in part by reducing conditions that force employers to unknowingly hire Mexican workers pressured to enter the U.S. illegally to obtain a job. As described earlier, the current system of admissions to the U.S. disfavors Mexican workers in comparison to other immigrants.

The need to increase the number of visas or methods of entry for Mexican workers is clear. Not only would employers be less hindered in responding to worker shortages, but the dramatic human and social consequences of undocumented immigration would be alleviated. Hardworking, taxpaying Mexican Americans contribute to our nation's economy, and without access to them, employers face a more difficult challenge of meeting their labor needs.
mexico sucks because of the people.

If you people do take over the southern USA you will just turn it into a cess-pool like the rest of your sorry country. your govenrnment tore the country apart not ours.

Please understand that we don't have a problem with mexicans. It is the ILLEGALS we dont want.
because they dont really like mexicans or because htere are a lot of mexicans in the US
I swear I'll burst if I hear another person say "it was Mexico's first and you took it so speak Spanish and respect the illegal aliens."
Wow. You seem very angry. As a 25 yr old American I am not suprised with the growing population of Mexicans I see in our country & my community. As a matter of fact, I see a rapidly growing trend of diversity in my country that I enjoy. That is what makes this country so beautiful.
As for the history of Mexico & the land, my generation is ignorant of that. The Americans living today had as much to do with that as we did with the slave trade.
Speaking for all of the young adult Americans I know, most of my generation has an open-mind to change & to other cultures.
As far as the Iraquis, Afghans, Iranians, & Palestinians go...I'm not sure what you are referring to. It's a shame you are so angry & full of hatred.
No my friend.
Mexicans have to thank US government officials and politicians and corporations for coming together long time ago and opening the borders wide open for Mexicans to enter and get the "jobs Americans won't do" <- George Bush

So come in comply with our laws, get a job, work, and make sure you "keep consuming" <--- George Bush after 9/11
If you don't like the system here maybe you can go back protest in Mexico and change the system to the way you want it.

Became a citizen last year myself.

We will let Mexican government run this country for a month.
Will you like that?
Mexicans lived in the southwest long before anyone else, except for Native Americans. So I don't understand why people are so surprised that there are so many Mexicans living here. Just get used to it.
the only thing that surprises me is that these people , i'm assuming you included come here an have so many babies that you cant afford an fill up our hospitals an cause my insurance to skyrocket. as for the other wishful thinking an stupidity that you seem to rant about, wow, who knows. besides check your history, Santa Anna was a fool attempting to do foolish things. they lost the land. then the U.S. also paid them for the land which they didnt need to but did. either way they cant govern themselves or make there own country great so theyll try to do the same garbage here. but hey, welcome to the U.S.A go the the welfare dept. an good luck
your sadly misinformed. and uneducated too. you do know there are illegal immigrants living in il right. thats pretty close to canada.
well i don't really think that we are surprised that there are so many Mexicans here.
here is a little history lesson for you though. the USA didn't take most of the land you refer to. most of it was part of the republic of Texas which was not a part of the United States. the united states annexed it after being asked to by the republic of Texas. yes we received some land after the Mexican American war in the peace treaty, and finally we bought part of Arizona in what was the Gadsden purchase, so the US did not take the land. and most of the people coming in to the US from Mexico are not from that land anyway those people never left and have been US citizens legally for a long time. get a little research in first
OK, so I live in New Jersey and the place is crawling with Mexicans. I see them selling roses by the Pulaski sky-way all the time. So tell me when was NJ part of mexico? Oh it wasn't? Well the would it be wrong of me to tell them to leave? And guess what had the south west stayed part of mexico it would be in just as poor shape as the rest of your bul lshitt country and you would be making up even more ridiculous excuses for why you were sneaking in to the USA.
Well I'm glad your going to have so much fun if were attacked. I tell you what poncho, I'll swing by your place and we can watch them killing your family as well as everyone else. Hows that sound?
The questioner is right. Fact is, Mexicans are just as "American" as are those who live in the United States. I believe it is called Central America, and then further south is South America. The Europeans came to this country, worked people to death, or killed them, and brought a plethora of disease.
The Mexicans weren't diseased.
and so, here we are. Mexicans assimilated within.
The official figure is "12 million"
I believe it is closer to 25 million.
They are here to stay.
because we naively expected our government to do it's job. It failed. So now we are all waking up, and we will do something about it.
Brit wanna-be ...

Don't tell us about taking things ...

Almost any superpower in being has taken things from someone and suppressed the people living there. Here's a short list of the current countries that don't have crap to say to us about how we treat illegal immigrants since they took land from others and oppressed people from resettling those lands:

England
France
Spain
Japan
China
MEXICO (look at the history of these supposedly ousted people)

If you really want to get technical ... Mexico GAVE the US this land ... look it up below, fool. And not only that ... Texas ASKED to be part of the U.S.

If you really want to feel sorry for someone, feel sorry for the Indians. Hell, I can't see TWO Indians together any more let alone an Indian FAMILY ... so for that, yeah, sorry.

But Mexicans?!?! Get real ... if they had any sense back in the day, they would have used THEIR STATUS to get the U.S. to give THEM land ... which they could have done! Back then, the U.S. and Mexico were EQUAL in status until the railroads started running and brought about the Industrial Revolution ... which currently gives about 5 million illegal immigrants jobs.

Get your fact straight, sit down, wipe the egg off your face, and shut up.
Are you horny for violence? Get a grip violenta... Sitting there in the dark, burning history books, crying over spilled leche, hoping for chaos. LOL, another keyboard revolutionary.
Answer from another post.

The race card isn't working as well as it should, so Plan B is in effect: Using unsubstantiated claims and rewrite history to supercede U.S. Law .

Summermoon -

"Actually American Indians despise being called Native Americans so please watch your mouth next time."

That is not true. As a matter of fact many natives refer to themselves as "native" more than American Indian, and there is much debate in the native community over the terms. I prefer to identify my ethnicity by tribal name, neither term is offensive to me. A warning to watch one's mouth over the usage of Native American is unnecessary, since the term "Native American" is not racist.

"They also aren't exclusive to the US and the Indians that wandered the Southwest were and are Mexican Indians."

The native tribes that wandered and settled in the southwest were not Mexican Indians. Mexico only occupied the southwest for 29 years from 1821-1850. Aztecs and Toltec cultures, language, and beliefs are quite different from the (U.S.) southwestern tribes - (i.e. Pueblo tribes, Apache, Commanche, Shoshone and many others active and extinct). To say that modern day Mexican mestizos and Mexican Indians are one and the same as the native tribes of the U.S. is nothing more than an arrogant claim to supercede present-day immigration laws.

"Apache Indians are intermixed with Mexicans. Geronimo warned his people about the encroachment of the US on his people so he hated white men. He lived in what is present day Arizona. It was Mexico then btw. So Geronimo was Mexican. He didn't kill Mexicans he killed Spaniards. Since he was born in 1829 it is pretty clear he was born in Mexico not the US, Arizona was not a state of the US nor a territory till 1912."

Apache were not intermixed with the non-existant Mexicans pre-colonialism, and the Apache bands warred with the Mexicans after 1821, and also offered safe passage to the U.S. soldiers during the Mexican-American war. Geronimo fought against the Mexicans and the United States to protect his tribal lands. Geronimo was NOT a Mexican, and would have taken offense to that claim. The new Arizona Territory, consisting of the western half of New Mexico Territory was declared in Washington, D.C. on February 24, 1863.

"...all of these countries are just like the US part of North America. So some of the folks here need to learn geography before they argue that the Indians native to Mexico are not North American, because they most certainly are."

I think you know better than this. American is a nationality, exclusive to the USA. The fact that the continent is named NORTH America is irrelavent. Mexicans are claiming indigenous rights to the United States of America, which is an unsubstantiated and disproven claim. To argue that Mexicans are American, is as rediculous as saying that Brazilians are Colombian, South Africans are Egyptian, or French are Irish.

Added: Usually mixed breeds or pretendians like to project their insecurities on full blooded natives like me. I get that all of the time, strangers thinking they know more about my blood, than I do. I feel sorry for them. Since you like to make losing bets, you are more than welcome to come play at my tribe's casinos.

Also, as an American citizen, I have enjoyed the freedom for decades to live in various cities and states around the U.S. Living on the reservation is an option, and hence no feeling of being "walled" on a reservation.

Everything in my answer above is fact, not opinion. You can try to word around the facts all that you want to suit your opinion. It's not going to change the facts that Mexicans are the 500 year old descendents of Spaniards, they are not American Indians, and that Geronimo lived on Apache tribal lands, and did not live by Mexican law, identify himself as Mexican, fought to protect HIS land, that belonged to HIS people, the Apache.

MexicanIndian - I am not talking trash about Mexican Indians I am tired of Mexicans claiming American Indian tribal lands, to substantiate their breaking of U.S. immigration laws.

I wasn't in a Mel Gibson movie, and I could care less if you think I am impersonating or not. It's called cultural pride, and I am not going to sit back and allow the mesitzos of your country, lie about the history of mine.
