The USA have always been Mexican in the South West.

Mexicans deserve the same freedoms that Americans take for granted every day. Those freedoms aren't American - they belong to every human being by virtue of birth. And if a Mexican needs to come into the United States to be free, then god bless him.

Yes, we can continue to be monolingual country, and should be. If you want Democracy, freedom, peace and all of the other things that you mention, then get YOUR country, Mexico, to make the necessary reforms for the people of Mexico. Do these things for your country, in Mexico, then you won't need to feel compelled to break our laws by coming here illegally.
The North American Union is a trade agreement, not a joining of Mexico and the United States as 1 nation. Where ever that idea came from needs to go back to the hole it came out of.
A "mono-Yankee" culture is not a bad idea, be a Yankee, or stay out. The best border that we can have is one where legal immigrants can come in, and illegals are at best deported, at worst, shot on sight.
