I think people can embrace a policy because they think it will solve or alleviate a problem in society. For my Irish-German American citizen self, I support much of the intent with the immigration bill because I think it is a reasonable solution to some of the issues with illegal immigration. It is simply a policy thought. What is the policy solution to the problem? It has nothing to do with my ethnicity, religion, or even political ideology. I don't know Bush's reasons for supporting the bill, but know that it is for any number of reasons.

Bush wants to appease cooperate America with an endless supply of cheap labor. Greed is the name of the game. Bush can claim faith all he wants But his actions do not reflect what he professes. Bush wants to do what -Bush wants to do does-Bush does not take into account what Americans wants-he found out this out when his see you at the bill signing backfired.. Americans are fed up...EJ hold the jobs that other workers are unwilling too do. It is an economic issue-isn't that really more like the fraudulent arguments was that illegal immigrants were taking “jobs that Americans won’t do.” What that really meant was that they were taking low wages that Americans wouldn’t take.
The need for a labor force who will pick fruit, clean the toilets and otherwise hold the jobs that other workers are unwilling too do. It is an economic issue.
The Mexicans are a good people, kind, caring and very family oriented. They love America and while they would prefer to stay in Mexico, eat tacos and speak Spanish, when they come to the US generally speaking they are good citizens. Certainly when you compare them to other immigrant and racial groups they stack up well.
But the US government is really screwing this all up. If they spent one dollar within Mexico on economic development for every 100 dollars being spent on enforcement and interdiction, they could solve probably 70% of the problem.

The big reason behind the amnesty option is cost. It would cost Billions to remove all illegals from this country. In the long run it would be cheaper to allow amnesty to those that are already here, without criminal records, employed and have made a life for themselves. This frees up the Billions needed for deportation, to fight future influx of illegals into this country. Another reason is if you was to pull twenty million workers out of the work place, it would create nation wide a shortage of employable people to get the work done. We would most of our migrant farm workers, which means even though we have crops in the field farmers would not be able to harvest it all and get it to the market. That means less food, and higher cost. I disagree more with the trade deals worked out with Mexico that send our companies there for the cheap labor, than I disagree with granting those here illegally amnesty.
because the illegals are the ones who do all the work. if there were no illegals no one would be mowing your lawn twice a week or cleaning your house once a week for the same amount of money that illegals charge. bush is no mexican.

I can see you are in 6th Grade. But just because someone was for the Reform bill does not mean they are Hispanic or Mexican. Almost anyone can be for this bill or immigrants, whites, blacks, Asians (all Americans or not). So before you start talking, finish school.
