If we need immigrants in America why not invite Western Europeans?

First; we don't need immigrants - the greed monsters love cheap labor. The Kennedy's and President Johnson changed the immigration law in 1965 to favor third world countries instead of the ones closest culturally. In 1990 they again changed to law to allow immigrants from terrorist countries.
Western Europeans share our values? While I agree that they're more similar to Americans culturally speaking than most of the world, I wouldn't say that they "share our established cultural values." Besides, if we had only let in people who shared our values, then we wouldn't have let in the Irish, Germans, Jewish or Italians. Descendants of all immigrant groups eventually assimilate, but they also contribute great things to our "established cultural values." You and I are products of those contributions and changes. Culture is not static - it's a dynamic force that's always moving.
Mordent - Get off your high horse. You're the reason Americans aren't all too fond of Europeans these days. That arrogant attitude doesn't do anybody any good.
Because western Europeans are quite happy living in Western Europe, thanks. A better standard of life, very nearly as good wages, better culture, better living, FAR better public services - and not everyone hates us. We're free, democratic and don't have the annoyances of your religious right.
Who'd want to give that up so we can take some underpaid job in the US for "resident" status?

The US is 6th in terms of standards of living, behind such European countries as Norway, Sweden and Belgium - with Iceland and the Netherlands not far behind.

As for public services healthcare is FREE in the UK. Italy has very cheap healthcare. France and Germany both have partially state funded healthcare.
Public transport - there are 31 cities in the US with rapid transit systems, there are 24 in Germany ALONE.
France is almost entirely powered by nuclear energy. Iceland is almost entirely powered by geothermal energy. Germany is powered by nearly 12% renewable energy - double that of the US.
And of course those undeniable facts that Europe is democratic, with freedom of expression. If you're looking for replacements for Mexican workers who are prepared to work in Walmart for minimum wage you'll have to do a lot better than asking Western Europeans to leave their home.

Here is a newsflash, buddy. Europeans don't want to come here. They hate us too. If you don't believe me, go to France and you'll see what I'm talking about. Europeans are racist too but not as racist as Americans..not even close.

Mexicans share our cultural values, I live in southern california and Mexicans when they are 1s 2nd 3rd generation they are the same as all other americans, Muslims I think we are looking for trouble they have had a jihad for a 1000 years, its not about to change.

We do. People immigrate from Europe every day. But the vast numbers of Mexicans and other Latinos come here because there are jobs for them. I don't think many Western Europeans are interested in picking lettuce, do you?

I think most of them are happy with their lifestyle in Europe.Maybe the Eastern Europeans would like to come. They are mostly very highly educated people and would be in competition with Americans over high paid jobs.Most already do speak English so that wouldn't be a problem for them.We should leave well enough alone.
You'll have to call the Whitehouse for the answer to that one. I doubt Europeans in a democratic society would benefit much from coming here.
