Meanwhile, illegal aliens go to the head of the line. All an illegal alien need do is simply present their self at the nearest hospital for a complete smorgasbord of free medical services. This "squatter" enjoys all of the freedoms that the veteran has fought for, with none of the pain, suffering, or expenses associated with them.
Since the government has no problem eliminating a class of veteran from using the VA system, why can't they do the same for illegal aliens?

No, they are giving illegals who are children free health insurance up to a family income of $80,000, since the reauthorization of the health insurance for poor kids (which used to exclude illegals) now will say (in the version just passed by the Senate finance committee) that states should presume all to be legal and accept a parent's statement as to how much income the family has. Now if they only say people have to be presumed to be children, as well, the Vets could get benefits under that bill, too...
Also Vets have to be disabled 'enough' to qualify for total benefits.
Because the illegals will soon be voting, and it's the Dems that keep giving them the hand-outs. They won't cut their throats, they'll vote for the Democrats.
That's a hard voter base to beat.

People that aren't familiar with working of the "system" dont understand and may think that you are speaking for everywhere.
And, I work in this field and have NEVER heard anyone say to "accept" people's word for ANYTHING. We have to have documentation of thier phone service, rent contract, utlitiy bill, kids school records (to make sure they are full time students), social security cards, birth certificates, photo ids for anyone over 16, check stubs, etc. etc.
That is silly! You are inventing stuff (or not specifying where you are from) just to get people all riled up!
Bush was busy cutting veteran benefits long before he started trying to force Congress to give amnesty to illegal aliens. I am sick that people who have risked their lives and limbs for our country have trouble getting needed help and medical benefits.
You do know that Bush is denying benefits for war wounded vets claiming they had "mental" problems before they served. Of course, they were good enough to serve up to 3 terms in Iraq and be gravely injured before their mental health was an issue.
