I have posted so many questions about this issue and what is fueling the hate in this country... yea, they came here and stayed illegally or crossed illegally... but, living in the shadows is tough and expensive for the US.. I know what everyone would say."but their criminals"... let them pay their fines, register them and secure the borders. move on America. If we continued the logic of their illegal residence, than criminals in jail for stealing a candy bar at the age of 18 should be held in jail forever... because that is the reality people.. if they are deported.. they have a 10 year to life ban from letting them come back... I dont want my child to be motherless...

This is hard to answer. Try asking in the Law and Ethics section. There has to be a way round the legality issue. In the U.K., where I am, a person who marries a U.K. citizen is immediately legal. Hope you get some help with this.

I'm sorry to seem heartless but did you think of that before or after you had a child and married her? Why didn't you do everything in your power to make her legal? I hate to seem mean but I think a bit of forethought is necessary when building any family, don't you? No one wants their loved ones to be judged for what they do especially if it's illegal but you helped to make this what it is. Is the degree of legal to be decided by us or the government? You're probably safe if you get on it right now. I'd never put my child, knowingly, in that position.

No, it's not falling apart. In fact, illegal immigrants are holding up our agricultural industries with their low wages. They do a lot of jobs that most Americans wouldn't do. I agree with you on this issue.
since you are an American citizen then it is easy for your wife to get a green card or citizenship. the government is wrong throwing people out that want a new life and they are really throwing away a morality which they once stood for. this country was made up of immergrants and the officials are very quick to forget trhat. but yess tak your wife to one of those immagration departments and apply her for citizenship, so you wont be without a wife and a kid with out a mother.

You could apply legally for you and your child to live in your wife's homeland.

when talking about it, i think if you pay taxes which most illegals do anyway, and have no felonies youshould be able to stay in this great country, also i think if your going to school trying to better yourself there should be priority in legalizing these people. lets reward the people that are helping this countrys economy, an get those people that are making everyone elso look bad out of here, such as immigrants who have serious crimes on their record and basically not triying to better them selves like learning english, well thats just a thought, your wife shouldnt be forced to abandon your child.

These people are criminals. That alone is reason enough not to want them here. And this "reality" you speak of is nothing more than BS, although it would be nice if it was real. When these criminals are booted from the US, they return the next day to continue stealing from us.
FYI if you really were an American citizen it would only require a bit of paperwork to get citizenship for your wife as well. So yes, this does appear to be just another failed argument from the pro-crime schmucks.

Your child can have both parents if you apply to be legally in your wife's country or if she applies to become legal here. Stealing a candy bar does not affect millions of people. Illegal immigrants are undocumented. If a person is undocumented, then they do not pay the taxes that fuel this country, b/c if they were documented and paying taxes then they would be afraid of getting caught. If you do not pay taxes, then you are essentially trying to drain this country of its resources. Get it? It's not about stealing a candy bar. Geez, that came out of left field.
