I made a letter in favor of Immigration reform.. Tell me your thoughts!?
Memorial Day is an important moment in remembrance of those brave and women who have died for the preservation of freedom that we cherish in America. Many Americans visited memorials set fourth throughout the nation. From New York to Los Angeles walls are engraved with last names like Johnson, Mitchell, Jackson, Nguyen. In this wall you will also find names that end with Ramirez, Lopez, Jimenez, Ruiz. All these names are symbols of pride for us. These names of these heroes have given the ultimate sacrifice fighting the Global war on Terror. It’s very probable that some of the people who have died in combat have parents or relatives who are here illegally. Are we going to send John and Ken to knock on the door and have to say the following, “We regret to inform you that your son or daughter died in combat, we are very sorry. Now we have to deport you back to you’re nation of origin.”
The debate for Immigration reform has been heated up by racist entities like John and Ken from KFI radio in Los Angeles. These shock jocks like to dehumanize the Hispanic people just like the Nazi’s dehumanized countless Jews before executing them. John and Ken, want America to think that Hispanics don’t value education, which is simply irresponsible and hateful. This rhetoric is exactly what we don’t need in this tenuous debate. The only way the Immigration issue will be solved by comprehensive Immigration reform PERIOD!
I am all in favor of building a wall, therefore keeping out Terrorists and criminals from our shores. However, I am not in favor of persecuting and verbally lynching these people like KFI Radio constantly advocates on it’s airwaves in order to gain ratings. Thank you to President Bush for his leadership in this divisive issue. And Thank you to all Americans for supporting those people who are in fact Americans!!

Answer:
I wrote a letter in support of an immigration reform as well.
John and Ken need to kiss my brown *** ===== should we make them disappear? Hell yeah!
People hate this country because of people like them who think that they're "better" than anyone else. If you ask me they're just a piece of $hit.
Well written and truthful. Good work.
I disagree with you entirely, but this bill is bad far beyond legalization. I could conceive of a legalization plan I could support, with proper screening (not like this has) and proper security for the border and a visa exit tracking system (not like this has) and totally omitting the page 210-211 'sense of Congress to accellerate SPP' when Congress has never been even given the opportunity to debate and vote on SPP.
However, this bill fills none of my requirements for a good bill, would increase illegal immigration in my opinion, and would further destroy our already failing schools.
I am against it 100%, and I have written my own letters.
I myself wrote a letter about the current proposal of immigration reform. I believe I am the first to try and jump on this great opportunitu but i know more people will follow.
Here is my letter, sent to my Representatives.
Dear Senator ,
As a native citizen of the United States and excellent customer of the Internal Revenue Service, I am writing to ask for your assistance. I have contacted the Department of Homeland Security in an effort to determine the process for becoming an illegal alien and they referred me to you
My primary reason for wishing to change my status from U.S. Citizen to illegal alien stem from the bill which was recently passed by the Senate and for which you voted.
If my understanding of this bill's provisions is accurate, as an illegal alien who has been in the United States for five years, all I need to do to become a citizen is to pay a $2,000 fine and income taxes for three of the last five years. I know a good deal when I see one and I am anxious to get the process started before everyone figures it out.
Simply put, those of us who have been here legally have had to pay taxes every year so I'm excited about the prospect of avoiding two years of taxes in return for paying a $2,000 fine. Is there any way that I can apply to be illegal retroactively? This would yield an excellent result for my family and me because we paid heavy taxes in 2004 and 2005.
Additionally, as an illegal alien I could begin using the local emergency room as my primary health care provider. Once I have stopped paying premiums for medical insurance, my accountant figures I could save almost $10,000 a year Another benefit in gaining illegal status would be that my daughter would receive preferential treatment relative to her law school
applications, as well as "in-state" tuition rates for many colleges throughout the United States for my son.
Lastly, I understand that illegal status would relieve me of the burden of renewing my driver's license and making those burdensome car insurance premiums. This is very important to me given that I still have college age children driving my car.
If you would provide me with an outline of the process to become illegal (retroactively if possible) and copies of the necessary forms, I would be most appreciative.
Thank you for your assistance.
Your Loyal Constituent,
No response yet...but I am patiently waiting
Beautiful.Couldn't have said it better.
These Neo Nazis, do not represent the average American, they are radical activists who seek to destroy this country with hate and propaganda..People think US is going to be destroyed from the outside, terrorists, illegals flooding here, but that is erroneous, America will be destroyed from within, because when you allow this hate speech, its a very divisive force, and if we are divided and polarized as a country we will never be able to solve our problems..
I think that some Hispanics are too quick to use the race card. Most Americans just disagree with giving amnesty to almost all illegal aliens who have violated our laws, including gang members. We do not have to deport them, we need to: make being in our country illegally a felony punishable by at least 60 days in prison, prosecute the employers of the illegals, use the Social Security Administration and the IRS to help identify illegals, and to stop chain immigration.
If we take those steps, plus build the fence, as you agree is necessary, we can get a handle on our immigration problem. The illegals will leave if they can't get a job, but to allow those who have violated our immigration laws to become citizens is just plain wrong!
Also, you need to divide your letter into 2 or 3 paragraphs, and Bush is one of the worst presidents in American history!
Are you an illegal alien? Heck no, or you couldn't have fought in a war! Did you come here illegally? Heck no, or you couldn't have fought in a war! Did you realize that 95% of the outstanding warrants in LA county are for ILLEGAL ALIENS? Did you realize that only 2% of illegals actually pick crops, their main excuse for coming here, but 26% of them live on WELFARE? Did you realize that 29% of the inmates in FEDERAL prison are ILLEGAL ALIENS? How, in the name of God, can making all illegals citizens benifit this country? You take that and smoke it a while and see if you still feel the same! This is MY country and if you want to live here, come here LEGALLY and I will welcome you with open arms! If not, stay the hell out!
I think you don't like free speech very much unless it happens to agree with you.
Here's the one I sent last Monday.
Senator XXXXX,
I'm disturbed, to say the least, by your vote for cloture on the Bush-Kennedy-Kyle "No Illegal Alien Left Behind Act of 2007" ... better known as "comprehensive immigration reform".
I spoke with a woman in your office who told me you voted for cloture so that the issue could be debated. Could you please tell me which Senate rule forbids debating the issue before the cloture vote? You see, I understand that your cloture vote actually limited debate on this monstrosity to just 30 hours.
I can't express to you, without resorting to extreme profanity and invectives, just how strongly I object to the amnesty and guest worker provisions in this bill. Then, at the request of the White House, the requirement that illegal aliens pay back income taxes as a condition of their amnesty was left out of the bill. "It would be too hard for the IRS to figure out how much they owe," is what White House press secretary Tony Snow said. Senator, I suggest you not file your taxes and see how much trouble the IRS has in computing how much they think you owe.
I'm also highly unimpressed by the fees and fines the bill purports to impose on illegal aliens, so don't tout them in your response to me. I understand, and so do you, that as soon as this bill is passed a movement will gain steam to waive, or outright repeal, the fines and fees on the grounds that they are excessive. Your collogue from Florida and Republican Party General Chairman, Senator Martinez, has already started the ball rolling and I'm sure Teddy Kennedy will be happy to cosponsor it. I'm sure the moron in the White House would be glad to repeal the fees and fines too, after all, family values don't stop at the Rio Grande you know.
Senator, do you know how the party's base feels about this issue? Do you care? Are you aware of the reception Senators Lindsey Graham and Saxby Chambliss got back in their home states during meetings of the party faithful? All that was missing was the tar and feathers.
Why don't you schedule a few town hall meetings across the state and see how well your pro-amnesty vote is going over with your constituents? (Tip- have a fast car waiting outside with the motor running.)
I suppose my writing you will make no difference. It's my educated guess that this bill, or something equally as bad, will be passed and signed into law. It's got something for everybody. Big business Republicans will get millions upon millions of poorly educated workers from the third world to drive wages down and socialist Democrats will get millions upon millions of new voters to shower with public benefits ... and please, don't tell me this bill forbids them to collect public benefits. I'm sure you understand that their babies will be eligible for the full range of public benefits starting at birth and a decade or so down the line, after they've become citizens, so will the amnesty recipients. The Heritage Foundation, using reliable well established methods, has computed the taxpayers cost to be approximately $2.5 trillion dollars over the next twenty to thirty years.

Tony Ruiz ,I think you can take your letter and shove it up your un-historical butt.
If you're an ARMY VETERN, you would have more respect for what these A** H**** are doing to AMERICA.
Will take a hundred thumbs down for AMERICA....Citizen...My A**..
Passions are high on both side of the illegal immigration issue.
As to Bush, he is calling American Citizens that do not support his amnesty, UN- American, so much for his leadership in this divisive issue
I think its a very heartfelt letter. Congratulations. The only problem I see is that it show that you support illegal immigrants.
Illegals are from all races, not just the hispanic race. I also am a veteran, and have deep respect for those who have made the ultimate sacrifice for our country and its citizens. I did not give of my time to serve my country, only to have some people declared untouchable by our laws. I have to live within the confine of the laws in my country, state, county, city, community, and the laws laid out by my spouse. I am surrounded by laws. For these people to come here illegally, and then expect all of us to have to live within the law, while they don't, is ludicris. Lets start the reform, first by closing the borders. Sorting out and determining who can and should stay, can be discussed and decided after the borders are secure. This reform bill is an abomination, and there is no way that our government can or will enforce their new laws. All that will happen if this bill is passed, is take us one step closer to anarchy. You having been in the military, should understand better that there must be rules and laws, if there aren't, there can only be confusion and chaos!
and all those spanish names are and was born in America, so therefore they are American's hero's. you served in the service? and you defend illegals. your nothing but a commie.
This is a very contreversal question. This national debate should be approached calmly and with reason. It is a very emotional issue.
I am eighty years old. I remember reading in a magazine in 1940, that 1/3 of the foreign born in this country were here illegally. In those days most had entered through Canada. This is not a new issue.
Every nation has the right to exercise some controls on immigration, but no nation has the right to totally eliminate the freedom of movement of people.
Your letter is very well written. I suggest that you send it to your congressman. Even if he disagrees with you, he knows that you have a vote. It will have some effect on what kind of bills he supports.
Best wishes.
American soldiers fought and died for the freedoms of American Citizens, not so criminals from foreign countries can come here and thumb their nose at us. This is not a race issue. I have friends that have hispanic surnames that are also against illegal immigration. Ever hear of Colonel Al Rodriguez of You don't speak for me?
this issue does NOT get solved by the so called comprehensive reform that was hatched behind closed doors with that traitor kennedy and the racist NCLR.
In 1986 we granted amnesty and were promised enforcement. We got the amnesty and NO enforcement.
In 2007 Kennedy again wants to grant amnesty in exchange for the promise of enforcement. Anyone with 1/2 a brain will realize that we will not get enforcement.
The fact that 90% of illegal immigrants are hispanic is just that...a fact. Has nothing to do with race. If it was 90% Canadians that were streaming across our borders and inundating our infrastructures we would be screaming about that rest assured.
The only way the illegal immigration problem will be solved is to enforce the law PERIOD!
RG is right. The "shamnesty" now being pushed is a crock. The U.S. should first achieve border security before passing any new immigration laws.
Our lawmakers are lawbreakers, and even more so than the illegals because they are charged with upholding U.S. law. I think some major oaths are being violated by our esteemed leaders........
I prefer to side with the constitution and would like to point out that no immigration "Reform" bill is needed at all.. The government just needs to do its job.
