Once you get there you will need to file form I-601 and a G-325. Then you will need to write an affidavit using the points mentioned in the link. Make sure to take documents to support your case. For example, medical records of the US citizen. Remember you have to focus on the extreme hardship to your US citizen relative.

its a letter asking for a pardon or saying sorry for entering the US with out permission. u have to explain why u should be here and how it would effect ur familia and u and that u can hold a job, not b on welfare, etc...!

I would also recommend the same thing as above, go see a GOOD lawyer. There are many of them out there that only want to take your money and run with it. If you can't afford one, try going to the Hermandad Mexicana Nacional. The specific and primary purpose of the organization is to provide non-profit, low-cost legal services to undocumented immigrant workers and their families and other low-income families.
I know of a case where a man was punished for 10 years because he answered a question incorrectly ... they asked him that after he had been deported once, how long did he wait before re-entering ... and he said 2 months ... they are suppose to wait 1 year after deportation before attempting to enter into the US again... I actually felt very bad for him because he was a good guy with a great family and a promising future. The only thing that gets me thinking is that he was punished for 10 years but his attorney did not even bother to appeal the decision. When I heard about this I informed his wife that they had the right to appeal the decision but unfortunately it was too late. It had already been past 1 year since he was "punished" for that. I told her that she should report him to the CA state bar. It seems very unfair that a person with no criminal background, no dependency of government, married to a citizen as well as having 2 citizen children can't live here.His only crime was to cross the border twice to look for a better life.
