This is a serious ? about illegal immagrants.?
Answer:
I don't think bad of your relatives.I understand why they came here, like my parents came too, for a better life...They are good canidates for this bill..You should encourage and help them to become legal.Best of luck...
yeah there is some good people here but they knew they were violating law since they came here illegal.so even then they should be sent back.
For me, I do know that SOME people that are illegal have worked hard, and have followed the law, but many havn't. I still think, that if you are illegal, you need deported. Its not about who deserves to stay and go, but illegal is illegal. Where would you draw the line for allowing people to stay. I think that would cause more problems that we have know if we started picking and choosing who gets to stay and who has to go. It either all or none, and beings that they are illegal, I say all. NOthing against you or your family, or any family of any race.illegal is illegal.they are more than welcome to come back legally.
United States of America has Immigration laws ! so your 2 family members are not fellowing all the American laws.
I totally agree with you and because there are a lot of people in the same situation as your family members. I think it is not fair to punish those who HAVE contributed to this society. This is why I am all for an Immigration Reform. That would help instead of ruin peoples lives. Call your senator and asking them to support and immigration reform for the sake of your family members. Your chose.
Edit: Some people are SOOOO ignorant. There are no laws available at this time that would allow a person to become "legal" in the US. Funny thing with immigration laws/regulations that always seem to have a timeline (expiration). Many people are able to become legal if they overstayed on a visa and married a US citizen kinda thing. But for those who came in illegally there is NO WAY they can get legalized.
Since they have been here 15 years, why don't they try to stay legally? If they can prove that they have steady jobs and pay there taxes and can speak good English.then I don't see why they don't try to get papers to stay legally. I do not have a problem with someone who wants to stay if they do it legal.
How can you say that they follow the laws when they are here illegally?
Also, if they are here illegally, how are they working and paying taxes?
Your two family members still ignored the laws of the US by coming into the country. The only difference is that they are your family members, and they have ignored the immigration laws for a longer period of time. I would say that these two people are more guilty than someone newly arrived just from the time issue.
Not everybody thinks that Mexican people are horrible people. But, if there are laws, then everyone should follow them and suffer the consequences of disobeying them whether it is running a red light or entering the country without permission.
Sure they have the right just like everyone else, but you say they have been here for fifteen years obeying laws, if that were true they would be citizens by now. I have had friends from other countries come to America work hard and become legal citizens in seven years.
If your 2 family members are illegal they are not paying taxes (sales tax doesn't count) unless they are also involved in identity theft.
Illegal is illegal, this means they are not obeying laws. They need to go back home and apply for residence the way the rest of us legal immigrants had to do.
Your family members have been here 15 years? Illegally? Why haven't they completed the paperwork for their visa or green card by now? How do you pay taxes without a social security card?
ILLEGAL IS ILLEGAL. They can not pick and choose which laws they want to follow.
Dude, I sympathize with you and agree that not all Mexicans are like that. Still, they are illegal. My parents came from Ecuador and had to wait 5 years plus pay a ton of money to come here legally so it's not fair that someone crosses the border and you get to stay. Besides, they steal social security numbers to work totally screwing up people that are here legally...
If they are good citizens they should be able to stay and this new plan takes that into consideration. Under normal circumstances I'd say send them all back but in this case it was our governments fault because they refused to follow our laws on immigration. Sorry, but they did break the law and are not entitled to any rights.
I respect their decision to make a better life for his family, but the fact is this, when illegal immigrants move into a city, there is:
-Increased traffic
-Crowded schools and hospitals
-Increased crime
This is just another case of the bad people from your country ruining it for the good ones.
My being a legal alien/immigrant/worker call it what you will has cost me in excess of $10K so far. I have been here for 4 years and intend to file for citizenship when my legal H2b visa expires in 09. I pay taxes, file returns, have a credit history, pay medical insurance and would not exchange my life for anyone. I love it here. It fries my butt, that a nation so rich and powerfull cannot protect its own borders from people who are destroying the social fabric of this nation. In the city that I live in, the local hospital writes off $12.5m a year in indigent care. It staggers me that a private health system MUST treat all who come through an emengency room door, because the public sector ie the governement say so. Everytime that I leave these shores, I am quizzed, photographed, fingerprinted upon my return by immigration officials. Please help me understand how 100 illegals can use the same SS# and not have a brightspark in government land pick it up. When a so called "anchor baby" is born why are we not checking data bases to make sure that the parents are legal. Why are we not asking for a second form of ID...such as a passport before we start to treat people in hospital etc. If you are illegal and want to stay here, pay your back taxes in full and stay. If not then go home and take your anchor baby with you until they are of a legal age to live here on there own. I admire anyone who wants to better themselves, but do it legally and stop putting the burden on the rest of us.
to me...it is against the law...period. if you are an illegal alien, you are...if your not...your not...if you want your family members to stay here, get them to do it the legal way..i dont think ANY illegal aliens should be here...if they want a better life they can either do it in their country, or do it in ours the LEGAL way
You mean, you are an U.S. citizen.
It's about time this new bill finally got some attention, and that the U.S. is starting to think about their own country and fix it now rather than trying to rule the world.
Your 2 relatives should just wait and see what happens after this bill.
And since they've already been here 15yrs, why wanna become an U.S. citizen now?
If they're caught, INS will just ship them back accross the border. A few dollars later they'll be right back.
Mexicans are Americans too btw.
I do not understand why they have not done anything to legalize themselves. Why do they have to wait for a new immigration reform to just legalize them.
If you really care about them and they have been here that long, you or one of you family members should of petition for them.
Why didn't they do anything in those 15 years to make themselves legal? Too much trouble I guess.
Doesn't matter how long they have been here or if they paid taxes. They are still breaking the laws of this country,so they really aren't following the laws now are they?
