May I suggest Melbourne? It's much nicer than Sydney- better restaurants, better food, more European people. Cheaper too- and it has a harbour. Fantastic Greek and Italin restos- tons of vineyards.

my sister emigrated a couple of years back, and it was a long hard procedure to get there
they had a case worker that helped you, they had to have medicals, a sponser out there with a certain amount of money, and also my brother in law is skilled so that went for them aswell
im not sure how to start going about it, so im not much help, but i do know it will take a while
