Immigrating to Canada?
My wife and I are wanting to immigrate to Canada.
I am a british Passport holder and she is a Canadian Passport holder with dual british citizenship.
We were married in Canada as she was a citizen and she moved to the UK to be with me however, we've decided that we want to start a family and the overall quality of life for us would be better if we were in Canada.
Any advice as to how we go about doing this and how strong our case will be?
All advice much appreciated, thanks
Answer:
She would have to sponsor you for your canadian permanent residence. You can do this either while living in the U.K. or after you move (inland processing). A good place to get started is www.cic.gc.ca.
You will have to undergo a medical examination, police clearance checks and a possible interview. It is pretty straight forward and can take about 8 months.
Well that would be the smartest thing you can do. Canada is a better place to start a family.
Hi. I am american married to a Canadian. I can tell you many people wish they had immgiated to Canada. I am going to give you some info to the cnd govt immgiration website. Even highly educated and skilled non Canadians have a bugger of a time finding decent work. They expect you to volunteer to work for free to learn the system. Even from the UK.
