How long does it take to get the receipt after submiting the packet for green card application through marriage to a U.S citizen?

Answer:
According to the file I have with all of the papers we filed for my husband, our papers were filed on March 5, 2007 and our NOAs issued on March 12, 2007-a week later. I don't know if the country of origin of the person who is applying matters, but my husband is Canadian, if it does.
