Well, I am not an immigrant, but my parents/sister are. They were born in England, and moved over here. At some point, you need to make the choice as to whether or not you want to receive full citizenship status, and if you want that privilege, you must earn it and go through the process of a system.
I remember family members waiting years to be called up to take the test and finally be rewarded citizenship. It isn't right for illegals to come here illegally and expect to be treated fairly like everyone else and to achieve the same benefits, etc. Constitutional rights and other privileges only apply to citizens of the U.S. and yet they claim that they are being treated unjustly, unfairly. Yes, we should embrace diversity as a country, however, illegal documented workers don't benefit our economy, rather, they are literally taking away $ that can be earned by currently unemployed citizens, and instead are taking it back to their home country.
If they claim they immigrate here to achieve the American dream, etc., then if they wanted it that badly they could take the time to fill out paperwork, learn a bit about this country, and wait to be called up and granted LEGAL citizenship.
Many times the illegals are simply the relatives of the legal immigrants so they feel just fine about them.

I had to pay taxes , follow the laws and pay large sums of money to become an Aerican citizen so why should some people just get the easy deal and soem have to work for it?
the solution it first securing the border, then picking out the illegals and tossing them back over. They should not have amnesty, Bush wants to reward them for breaking the law.

I feel very upset when people are rude about illegal immagrants! I myself am legal only because my is american. People want to come to america for a better life! Alot of them do the jobs that other people dont want. I have never seen cacasian people picking brush or digging clams! I think the solution is to get over it! There going to come here no matter what. They just want a better life!! ((But I do think that once they get here they better learn english fast! My father learned english while he was still in Mexico))
My father who is a legal immigrant and his sister and parents are pissed. They waited their turn to get here. Paid the fees.
My mother and grandmother are angry. they came from holland, had to do soo much to get here. They waited until they had anough money so that they wouldnt burden America by applying for handouts. And they learned english!
I am an american citizen.. born and raised...didnt earn it... already applied with all the benefits. Make good money.. life is great. Family has been here about 3 hundred years. I can't believe how passionate people are against starting a process that will give Illegals the opportunity to become citizens... People are sreaming "AMNESTY"... give me a break.. its a bs word for the uneducated... no proposal currently being reviewed by the house resembles the word. There are punative measures in place which deals with their illegal entry... not a free pass. Bottom line, IMPOSSIBLE TO SEND EVERYONE BACK... NEED TO DEAL WITH THE ISSUE AND LET DECENT HUMAN BEINGS SEEKING A BETTER LIFE OBTAIN STATUS.. use the punative dollars (finance them if you have to... not our taxes) to secure the borders. Unregistered illegals will be easier to find.. INS wont be so swamped. People have no idea what they are talking about... Maybe we should deport all citizens in the US who have a problem with how this country was originally populated... maybe the Native Americans should kick our *** out...

Deport all illegals immediately including any offspring that they conceived while here illegally. If one parent was a legal citizen then they may appeal the deportation of the child if they can prove a means of support. Close all borders...then allow entry only to those sponsored by a US citizen that can prove that they will have employment and a place to stay with total support none of which will be taxpayer funded. All admitted would additionally have to pass all exams and screenings. For those that had been here without paying taxes a requirement to pay in full the amount owed within a certain time frame with no unreasonable penalties. My Grandparents were imagrants.they came here legaly, were gainfuly employed, paid taxes, supported themselves and family completly without any social programs, lived by the law of the land and helped to bring other realitives over as they could. This is how America was built and it is the way it should remain!
If the depoties had established ownership of a bussiness illeagely during their "visit" then that bussiness would be placed in the hands of a mediator whom could either sell it to pay debts owed or negotiate a means of operating it as an absente owner until re-entry has been approved.
if they have "acheive citizenship status" then they are Citizens like you and me.
