I want to have a friend from Hunduras to come and visit me for six months. How do i go about the paperwork.?
for me or can i do it on my own. and where and
how do i start?
Answer:
you don't need a lawyer.
they have to fill out the forms and i think there is a fee for the visa.you need to have your pay slip and tax papers and invitation letter maybe a statement form your Bank showing your accounts and show that you can support them during their stay.your letter to them stating that they will leave before there visa expires and you will accept all the responsibilities of there stay and medical if needed and you are proving them a place to stay.
you need maybe the lease of where you live with your name on it.,or if you have a house the papers showing your name.
your visa if you have green card or citizenship card a copy of it will do i think but i think you can do all by downloading the format of the letter and lawyers will charge you a lot.
check the uscis.gov and u can call them.
You can't fill out any paperwork for them. They need to go to the US Embassy in Honduras and fill out paperwork asking for a tourist visa. Good luck because they usually don't give them out. You should check out the Visa Center to get a better understanding.
E-mail the Honduras chamber or embassy and they will point you in the right direction.
