Why doesn't this president listen when a member of his own party tells him to Back Off?

With his approval rating on the edge of being the lowest in history, and constantly shooting himself on the foot,is his intention to go out with a bang and take what's left of the republican party with him, with this immigration bill

Answer:
I hate to answer a question with a question, but I think this applies.

Since when has this President ever listened to anyone?
Arrogant spoiled brats rarely listen to anyone. It is just the way things work.
He has too many cute tricks in this bill to want it to fail. Listening is not an option if it would deny him what he wants.
The immigration bill is good. If the American people don't like it, then they should start lining up for the minimum wage jobs they won't take. The illegals will do these for less than minimum wage, happily and without complaining I might add. Plus a large # of Democrats support this too. Do you think Bush really cares about polls? If you were president, would you be a poll monkey? I don't think so.
Cause he don't take any s h i t from anyone. That's why he's good at what he does. It's like when I was in the Marines, "Walk your post from flank to flank and don't take no s h i t from any rank.

I just want to thank all of you pathetic liberals for your thumbs down. It let's me know I am right.
Because the puppet master doesn't agree with those other members of his party (in particular, since they're only saying that so they can get re-elected).
If this bill passes and ushers in the North American Union, perhaps his days in control of us peons will not end with a new president. The new president will be a figure head, and another governing body will be over all three countries. He probably either plans to be a part of that, or he wants to take credit for helping to bring 'world peace'. Nothing his own party members could say would make him change his mind, and they probably don't even understand his reasons for wanting this so badly. He has made back room deals and sold this country's sovereignty away for his own glory. That's how it looks to me anyway.
Bush has always been wealthy which means getting what you want all the time. He reminds me of some hard headed, I'm going to do what I want to do type people.

I really can't wait till 2008 this man must go before he causes even more damage. It will take years to clean up Bush's mess.
He's got an agenda.clocks ticking. I think he's forgotten he's not a King and this isn't his personal domain.

I mean I appreciate a leader but then there's a line when he becomes a dictator. It's a fine line I'm sure and he's crossed it. Big time.
