Immigrates from past times, were needed to built the inter structure, the railroad, towns and city across the country, those jobs are done, the need it over. We also had no framework for a welfare system for previous immigration.
When immigrations came in waves,they were from differed country and culture groups, now days they come largely from Spanish speaking counties and became of planes, trains, and phones, they do not have to leave their ties behind, so they see no need to become what is here, they want us to accommodate them. Just look to those marchers in May, these are not people that want to be here on our terms, they demand the rights to set their own terms. The only reason they switched from the Mexican flags and other nations flags to American flags, was purely a public relation stunt. Watch if amnesty is granted those flags will reappear next May

No. Mexico seems to pride it's self on traditional ways and it is because of this that mexico is struggling to achieve world recognition as a trend setter or leader in anything remotely seen as a benefit to human development. It is the American culture that is weaving it's self into fabric of mexico that is creating the lack of faith in their culture. In other words mexican culture is dying, not expanding.
I think you got it backwards. It is American Imperialism with its totalitarian foreign policies and everything for the interest of the U.S. that has been destroying Latin America for the last two centuries.
Like someone said, it's been the law of universe for thousands of years. People migrate to better lands. Europeans did it too when they migrated to the the west like Oregon and Utah and killed millions of Native Americans along the way.hey at least Mexicans have not killed millions of white people.

In mexico, when people get old, the go and live the remaining years with one of their sons/ daughters homes. In the US, as people get old, they get the boot and sent into a "retiring home" to see their sons once a year if ever.
In Mexico, sons/daughters live with their folks until they get married, sometimes until their late 20's. In the US, they leave home in their teens , move cross country, and see their parents only on thanksgiving.
