Why don't Mexicans have in pride in Mexico?
Answer:
This is a question that I, too, have pondered.
Recognizing the struggle and the danger in crossing the border(s) illegal--why not put that m uch effort into fixing their land of birth?
Is it really that hopeless? And if it is--what does that say about what they are bringing to us in the US?
Because they know its a lost cause.
How do you know they don't? Have you spoken to all of them? Without speaking to them I would never make that kind of judgment.
Because making their country better often means making money for the comparatively few wealthy families that virtually own Mexico.
Your right, they should overthrow the illegitimate USA backed government.
Because it is difficult to make progress under their corrupt system. They look across the border and see what real opportunity and freedom is and they want to come here little realizing that to come here illegally undermines the system they admire.
It's their land and great people not their Gov they hate the police and Gov. and should!
Mexico's populations is about 106,000,000.Most are very patriotic and choose to stay home. They do work hard to change their countr obviously you have never been to Mexico, or read international news.Radical change takes time.
Why didn't your ancestors have pride in their country?
It requires more courage, more self-sacrifice, more strength to change a nation that it takes to sneak across a border and steal a job.
Words of pride from an illegal alien who abandoned his nation from lack of courage to effect change there are hollow and meaningless.
They do have pride in their country and they have attempted numerous times to make their country better. One example is the Mexican Revolution. Perhaps you should also ask why we (the US) feel it necessary to invade Latin American countries or stick our noses in their politics each time we don't like their government. Don't forget, much of the western US once belonged to Mexico.
The Mexicans I know do have pride in their country.
There is extreme poverty in parts of Mexico. If there isn't jobs available or money, how can you work harder? How will working harder change governments? As a United States Citizen, I know that if I work harder, it won't make this country better. Hard work will not give a voice in politics, policy etc. I depends on who you are, your education level and many factors.
Some do: because theyre moving here to make more.
its a lost cause.
Dude, that would involve effort. They pick fruit a few months a year, living in USA while cashing their welfare and food stamp benefits. They would actually have to work ALL year in Mexico and grow some balls and organize. USA offers them more for doing less or nothing at all. Don't expect that to happen. Any cajones they might have are only used to make a baby a year.

They love their country - not their government...just like we do.
They can no more "work harder to make their country better" than you and I can "work harder to make" ours better.
Mexico is a beautiful country and I believe Mexicans have extreme pride in their country, heritage, & culture. With out a doubt it hasent changed much for many of years. Unfortunaly the government is a complete disaster and I don't think that the simple lifestyle of most Mexicans can make much of a change to their government.
Who said they dont?? where do u live? Do some homework and open your eyes!!
That is a good point!
They have pride in their country.. but since the cost of living is hard, they come here illegally (which is wrong). the mexican government is too busy making the rich more richer and the poor have to suffer..
Hard to have pride when your national holiday is cinco de mayo, which is a celebration of a victory over the French. Who hasn't defeated the French?
we have heritage pride you can take us out of our country but that is where we came from and i think that is where we shold go but i also need food and clothing as well so here we are but i am an american and iwas born here but also i love the usa but we are all diffrent nationalitys please stop with all the mexican comments and talk about something else
Mexicans are hard workers. They aren't magicians. Do you expect a penniless worker to create factories? Blame polititions, not the poor guy trying to feed his kids.
They would much rather turn USA into where they escaped from. They get paid for doing that via social service benefits.
They get nothing in Mexico due to the corruption. That's why they get the flock outta there as fast as their feet will carry them to USA.
If USA enabled anyone around the world access to enter illegally because they hate their homeland government. We'd have millions of 3rd world unhappy inhabitant refugees with no money, no skills and no education. Wait--we've got that now!
