No, because anyone who would put their personal convenience above the laws, sovereignty, and integrity of the country can't be very honest. They'll say what they think Americans want to hear, then go do whatever they want. Kinda like Senators, really.
Call me cynical if you will...but it is hard for me to find confidence in the honesty of a poll taken of criminals.
I would disagree with the article, primarily because I have no faith in the objectivity of "One World.net."

well ms close, i do not believe they should have a voice. they broke our laws, it is not your responsibility to get the laws changed for them.
they all have a voice in their home countries, and those illegals who do not have a voice in a communist country can file immediately for political assylum the day they get into the united states, and will be pushed to the front of the line.
how can we believe these people will follow our laws once they are changed for them? they broke the law by coming here in the first place... we cant expect them to follow laws 'from now on'.

whats funny is that in 1986, that exact line was used to pass the amnesty bill.

Why wouldn't they. Contrary to Ted Kennedy's evaluation they would all become "citizens by default" within 24 hours. They need not even get in the queue for citizenship to remain here legally. The only thing they would miss would be the right to vote and the Dems probably have a plan in the wings to solve that problem for them.

Great answers guys...add the fact that they are taking the social services that you and I work hard to fund (sometimes 70-80 hours a week) I think that the liberal left would find a way to make them compliant to boost the sagging, "crappy" image they have already displayed. I agree that the pollis biased and depending on who you ask, they would benefit from the senate bill...BUT THE REST OF US, INCLUDING MY CHILDREN WOULD SUFFER. Thankd for the platform...

No - Anyone with common sense would have known - the Immigration reform bill was a bogus BS attempt by both parties to placate their political bases. The Republicans can say they kept the illegals from gaining amnesty and at the same time tell big business, we kept you supplied with a low wage workforce. The Democrats can say to the unionist and Latinos, we needed more of the Republicans to vote with us - so we need to vote them out cause they wouldn't do anything about Illegal migration and low wages.
It's a Win-Win issue for both parties, only an idiot would think this issue will not be used before the elections again next year - after all, both parties have to raise more "election" money.
Go to any prison, I'll bet if you took a poll as to innocents, 99% would say they are.
Luckily the bill failed but had it passed I really doubt 83% would have complied, I the government is not set up to handle something like that. They couldn't find the illegals now if they were all in an arena in Washington D.C. with t-shirts that said "We are illegal immigrants". I don't understand why everyone thinks they want to become American citizens anyway.

wow how did the find so many to poll. I thought they were hiding in the shadows for fear the INS were coming to get them. Now we know who to call for this imformation when we start deporting.
Are you crazy? Do you actually believe they would return home after being here and then apply for citizenship? They are here illegally now and the authorities won't round them up. What makes you think they would comply with any law?

Disagree, because they don't comply with the current laws. The bill was just going to give them citizenship AFTER they pay the fine and AFTER they return home and wait in line behind everyone coming here legally.
If they did not comply in the first place, why would they comply with the same thing-only with a huge fine attached?
