Does anyone have any proof (no biased studies please) that Illegal Aliens are not paying their medical bills?

I worked at a hospital.. I can tell you they do not pay the medical bills they make.. in fact they put several hospitals out of business.. I use to have to walk up and ask.. do you have insurance... no.. your not going to pay this bill are you.. and they would smile..
but we had to help them get over the Flu or a hang nail... they dont pay

Glad you had a good experience with one paying you back. He was still an il-legal and in my book and the rule of law...still makes him a criminal.

You don't want the borders closed and there in your problem. I now have to drive 20 miles to closest emergency room. One that was 2 miles away closed last year because of il-legal's not paying. I don't care one bit whether you want a study or not. Simple fact is...IT'S CLOSED!
Three months ago a good friend of mine was killed when an il-legal ran a red light and hit him. He left 2 little girls and 1 little boy and a wife. IL-Legal had no insurance. No drivers license. Crack and Pot found in his vehicle. IL-Legal spent 23 days in hospital and a cost of $37,000. Who the L do you think paid the bill?? Not him!. US THE TAX PAYERS!!

If you are saying all studies are biased, there is no use giving you evidence. However, over $420 million was spent in California for illegal immigrant health care services last year, if you would care to look it up, and their children take about 1/4 of all food stamps in Los Angeles.
Also remember that an illegal alien taking health services for free wouldn't have a credit report under HIS OWN social security number.
Also, the people in Mexico bordering the southern border are allowed to call the emergency rooms and be serviced and then are taken back. They don’t pay any bills. I read it somewhere, but I don’t remember—that would damage any hospital.
The Bush administration has just announced that the American taxpayer will provide $1 billion over the next four years to pay illegal alien medical expenses. Unbelievable.
Each state can apply for the federal funds based upon the amount of illegals it has to deal with. California, of course, will get the most money, but the point is the feds recognize the magnitude of the illegal invasion but still won't stop it.
Now, we asked all the border state senators what they would do to stop the chaos. And their answers are very interesting. Dianne Feinstein (search) from California favors federal funding to pay for the incarceration of criminal aliens and more funding for the Border Patrol. California's Barbara Boxer (search) would not answer the question, typical of her. Arizona's John McCain (search) says he has a plan and will make it public soon. Jon Kyl of Arizona also has a plan, but it differs from McCain's. Kyl's plan will be unveiled in June.
John Cornyn of Texas is on board with Kyl's plan, whatever it is. Kay Bailey Hutchison, also from Texas, wants more Border Patrol agents. Jeff Bingaman from New Mexico wants ranchers to be given radios so they can call the Border Patrol and wants more Border Patrol agents. New Mexico's Pete Domenici wants almost $1 billion more to beef up border security.
So there you have it. What do you think? Do you think the politicians have a clue?
Talking Points is not optimistic. There's no serious talk of using the military to back up the Border Patrol. And unless you stop the flood of illegals coming in here every day, all the other stuff's useless. And Americans will continue to pay for the invasion. It's that simple.

Why would money be set aside to reimburse states for these costs if it weren't true? One in four uninsured patients are illegal immigrants, and half of those with insurance receive it from the government (medicaid,etc.) at no cost to them. It is true that ambulances from Mexico bring uninsured patients across the border to be treated in the US. They aren't even illegal residents and they abuse our system.

ER's are required to treat any life threatening occurance with NO collection of any monies.
Thats why over 35 ER's have closed in South Texas alone in the past 3 years.
