What would you think of Celebrating Continent Month ?

If we could somehow choose a month for each Continent to have a special Celebration for the Entire Month. I would love to know alot about the real Middle East, and all this stuff we hear about Africa? If each Continent could get their tourist or agricultural or whatever info on the realities in their day to day lives. It would be wonderful. Within months Everybody would know the best of each of us. BTW...just in case.if you see someone who looks like they come from another country..They are Americans! Odds are they belong here because they were born here. Even a lot of folks who never learn English fluently. As long as they can say Hi they just keep to themselves and we don't learn anything and we stay seperate because we never meet our victims or our Fellow Americans that are having a tough time changing in their old age.myself, I can smile in any language, but require adult supervision with most else, maybe booklet with english translation of common needs?

I don't think it would work. Some bright spark (like me for instance) would insist on having an "incontinent month" to offset it.
Go to Disney World and visit Epcot center. For me all are welcome who come here legally. A requirement for wanting to be an American is to learn our language and culture as well. We do not need to have a dedicated month for each continent, all we need is to observe each others customs and laws. All are welcome to be a part of the American experiment, but, only rule is you must be an American.

And um, most people who have been here for 10 years or better and don't speak English, don't belong here. How can you contribute to the country you are living in if you can't understand a darn thing going on around you?
And for that I need to carry a translation book with me everywhere? What other country does that occur in??

America is a continent, not a Country...

America Is the WHOLE continent (from Alaska, to the patagonia).what is there to celebrate then?
Lets change the name of America (continent) to Vespucia, to avoid confusion .(I propose)
