Should American taxpayers have a say about where their taxes are spent?

There are many localities in the nation that are enacting local ordinaces and cracking down on the abuse of tax dollars for the benefit of illegal aliens.
Many religious charities receive tax dollars and use these funds to assist many illegal aliens.
Should we have a right to say where & who our hard earned tax dollars go & who they benefit?

Answer:
I agree and disagree. I think maybe we should be able to do that for a portion of it. There are somethings however if we chose not to spend of them, they would be gone and we would regret it and it would be too late.
