Procedure of getting Australian Permanent Residency on Marriage with a Australian Permanent Resident?
The person who is getting married is currently in India and have never been to Australia.

You can apply under Spouse Visa: Offshore Temporary and Permanent (Subclasses 309 and 100)
DIMA will issue a Temporary visa for two years, based on applicant's spouse status and fulfilling all other DIMA requirements (under Subclasses 309) when applicant is in India.
After that period applicant need to prove their relationship is genuine and ongoing before DIMA issue permanent visa under Subclasses 100
Please remember Two years waiting period (TR) will start count from the date applicant lodged his/her visa application, not the date visa will be issued.

you don't even need to be married to get an Australian PR. all you need is to prove that you've been with this person for at least one year (not sure if you guys had to live together or not). Australian immigration is pretty simple. no worries mate ;)
