Why do both democrats and republicans blame each other on who is responsible for the immigration bill?

This insane bill was created in secrecy behind closed doors by both democratic and republican representatives, and with the blessing of George W Bush, tried to shove it down our throats,so the blame should not be put on the party, but the party attendees,we can't do much about George but we have the oppurtunity to kick out the members running for reelection who voted for this bill out of Washington, democrat or republican, this is one time despite the differences between both parties that we should unite as one to kick them out

Answer:
The ones who should be held liable are the ones who voted YES on immigration bill - nobody else.
THAT'S POLITICS!!!!!!
Whoever you elect will be bought by the very same interests.

Whoever has the money pulls the strings.

Silly rabbit, laws are for the rich.
I agree. Both Clinton and Obama voted for it.
We should unite to throw the rotten apples out of both parties just as they united to vote themselves a pay raise.
The reason that they blame each other.Political football as usual.
Actually it was a Senate bill, which is controlled by Democrats. A dozen or so Democrats voted against their own bill. Go figure...
I blame congress and I am quite disappointed at the number of republicans who had their heads up their asses. Not as many as the democrats though, but that isn't saying much when it came to this piece of bilge legislation.
They won't be once a Democrat wins the office...Then we will get a REAL amnesty bill, haha
Answer: While I agree in concept, may I point out that you are allowing logic and honesty to interfere with politics!
What are you thinking!
That bill by-passed committees TWICE! Was fast tracked with every arcane procedure available...re-written as the votes were happening...
The unmitigated GALL of American citizens to notice that abomination and have the nerve to complain!
Yes, each and everyone that stoop up and claimed that they were looking out for the welfare of the illegals over of the will of the American people
Anyone who voted aye will be back and anyone who voted nay will be out. Thats a promise.
They're different parties.
America can rest assured that there WILL NOT be a DEMOCRAT elected as president. The AMERICAN PEOPLE have had It with all these freeloaders, and by my count there are over 280 million of us. Considering that roughly 70% of the AMERICAN PUBLIC disagreed with the shamnesty bill,I would say to any pro-amnesty democrat to just pack It In now, because you dont have a prayer of being elected PRESIDENT!
Because no-one wants to take responsibility for their own actions. ANYTHING done in secret is a bad deal. I'm fed-up with the whole lot of them.

Kills me..our nation isn't secure NOW because the ANTI's wouldn't grant amnesty. BS!!! They had since 1986 to do something.or 911 to do something...NOW...it's OUR fault..PLEASE!!!
Because they all want VOTES!

And let's not forget that our Republican president is the one who tells us that legal immigrants and US citizens are too lazy to do the work that illegals will do, as well as promotes amnesty.
Dude, blaming each other is correct. Bush backed this bill and Obama and Hillary voted for it. Both parties can take a bow for messing up this country and both parties need to FIX it or move to Mexico!

Here's an idea:
No Citizen? No Welfare.

Have you considered the fact to both parities gain when there is the blame game and the citizens lose. Instead of saying we have a problem and create a committee that comes up with a fix, it is easier to be locked in a position and not wavier.

It reminds me of the time in my home town a new strip shopping center was built along with Wal-Mart. The downtown business had two mind sets. One thought they needed to renovate the downtown streets and store fronts so that the downtown area would not die and be attractive to visitors. Group two believed people would get tired of the strip mall , because they would not get personal customer service and come back to the local pharmacy, shoe store, hardware, and etc businesses. Also, they did not want to spend the money.

Both groups fought over the issue and nothing occurred and the mall keep winning.

People did not get tired of the mall with out the personal touch, they did not return to the downtown businesses.
The downtown area became almost a ghost town, until about two years ago, when most of the members of each group had left the area or passed away. And finally the two opposing groups got together and created a plan of action for change. They got a grant to remodel and a tax break as a free enterprise zone.
The downtown area was remodeled and now there is a downtown park, wide streets with trees nice lamp post and park benches along the streets, store fronts with awnings, brick sidewalks and streets. Business has returned.
The mall is still there and has even expanded, but people have returned to the downtown area for local restranutants, cafe's, and shops.

When both political parties fight over issues and get nothing done, the winner is the not the citizens, and in this issue the winner is the illegal immigrants.

As a citizen, I am feed up with the "bit*ching", I want action.
We are the losers.
What is lost in this whole discussion is this:

Now that the immigration reform bill had been defeated, what's next?

Now all those illegals who have been hiding out can get back to work - and those that have been waiting can hop the border.

Immigration reform is dead as a doornail and it's right back to the status quo.

It is impossible to find 12 million people who don't want to be found - much less process and deport them.

While the bill wasn't perfect - it was a first step in solving this problem..Now there is nothing that can be done.

Great going all you "anti-bill" folks...
Anyone with common sense would have known - the Immigration reform bill was a bogus BS attempt by both parties to placate their political bases. The Republicans can say they kept the illegals from gaining amnesty and at the same time tell big business, we kept you supplied with a low wage workforce. The Democrats can say to the unionist and Latinos, we needed more of the Republicans to vote with us - so we need to vote them out cause they wouldn't do anything about Illegal migration and low wages.
It's a Win-Win issue for both parties, only an idiot would think this issue will not be used before the elections again next year - after all, both parties have to raise more "election" money.
I just want to know when the bill failed why did'nt they all agree to enforce our laws. Seems that would have been the only logical thing to do.
Publicly blaming and bashing each other detracts attention away from the fact that neither are doing anything for this country and it's security.
