Dual Citizenship?
Which country's citizenship is the easiest to get in my situation? Preferably I would not have to stay in that country for many years to get the citizenship.
Answer:
As you said, many countries allow dual citizenship. Italy is the easiest to get IF you MARRY an Italian citizen AND live in Italy, then after 6 months you'll go to take the oath of Italian citizenship and become American/Italian citizen. If you marry an Italian citizen and live in the US it'll take you 3 years. other countries are harder than this because you'll have to go through all those immigration process and stuff.
Good Luck
Question is why?
Most people would want to live somewhere for a reason-cultural affiliation, relational affiliation, research etc.
It appears that you just Dual Citizenship. What would that do for you?
I think Germany, UK, Pakistan offer dual citizenship.
You cannot get dual citizenship if you are American. It's allowed for IMMIGRANTS simply because when they come here and get US citizenship, their country of origin does not force them to give up that citizenship. You can, however, get permanent residency in another country.
Why don't you look up countries that allow citizenship via marriage. I'm know you can get Iranian citizenship by marriage.
Citizenship is usually allowed to people who have a strong desire to stay in that country and have learnt their ways (unless they qualify for dual citizenship via their parents) there's also the fees to pay, tests (language and medical). You do not get it because it would look pretty on your wall.
My advice: You seem to be too proud of America to actually want dual. You want it because "it's cool" or so you can get another passport. If that is your reasons please don't bother.
