The key to stop illegals is within the reason given why Poles are not coming. The UK has treated the Eastern Europeans with the same distain as Mexicans.

For as long as wealth on this planet is unevenly distributed, there will be movement of people from the poorer countries to the richer ones. The sensible thing for politicians with vision in the developed countries to do is to begin putting in place measures to ensure fairer trade (and not necessarily more aid), in order to give these poorer countries the chance of raising their living standards. If they block these measures and at the same time attempt to seal their borders from the flood of economic migrants which will inevitably besiege them, they will indeed be fighting an uphill battle.

OK, everything's fine, then, all the illegals can stay and enjoy free education, free healthcare, free transportation, bi-lingual services... No problem! We taxpayers will shell out indefinitely because we need those crops harvested.

Well if the only thing that the illegals were doing was jumping the fence...picking some fruit at harvest time...making their money and going home...there wouldn't be an issue.

But, that is NOT all they are doing...so there IS an issue.

If the U.S. NEEDED more workers, all we need to do is increase the immigration quota. Hundreds of millions of people around the world would come to this country in a heartbeat.

If you are referring to the illegal alien criminals that are here breaking our laws, WHY? We should treat them like any other criminal. They should be in jail, and then DEPORTED!
I'm treating them just like everyone else. If you expect me to treat them "better" than everybody else.forget it. There aren't 12 to 20 MILLION crop pickers here. Just like here.they'd have people picking crops if they paid enough to live on. There isn't a shortage of people to do the work. Just a shortage of decent paying jobs.
