How many true brits live in the uk?

Answer:
umm i don't know you'll have to count.

i know i'm one so you can count me as one
me 100%
only about 100,
im a true brit!
Depends on what you mean by a true brit.
How many generations do you have to go back to be a true brit? Most brits have a touch of europe about them, some even having a lot of russian/traveller/gypsy in them. So what is a true brit??
I AM!!
Born, Bred and Proud of it!
Do think we are a dying breed though!! lol
I would like to think I am. Born and bred here.

Asian parents though. So, do I count?
Define "true Brit" and then we can try and work it out.

define a true brit - and you will be lucky to find one!

the wonderful part of our country is that its multinational and multicultural, this is what makes the UK great - do we really want to turn into a country which has no diversity - how dull!!

I am a true brit - a bit scottish, a bit english, a bit irish and a bit nigerian and proud of all my roots - does where someone comes from make a difference really - we are all the same, whatever creed or colour!!
At a guess I would say 50 million.

The balance of approx 10 million are aliens.
A true Brit would be one of the indigenous people of Britain. If your ancestors came from other parts of the world, then you would not be a true Brit. This is true just as it is true that if a Brit would move to Kenya and live with Kenyans, he or she would not be a true Kenyan, or if a Brit would move to Alaska and live with Eskimos, he or she would not be a true Eskimo.
The only difference is; no one wants to become one of those people. All of the people of the world are dreaming of becoming accepted into the European community. However, if a European would move to any other country in the world, he or she would maintain his or her European identity. This is because the white European is a symbol of status and respect. For non-Euopean peoples, to be accepted into the European community is a symbol of achievement, whereas for a European to be accepted into a non-European community is merely something which can be done for low amusement.
If this were not true, we would not be having this forum of discussion, because there would be no need for it. Just think honestly for a moment about how many people want to become Brits or Americans or Europeans, and then think about how many people want to become members of non-European, non-Western communites. And it's not just about money in Western countries; it's actually important to the self-esteems of non-European people that they become European, which of course, can never happen, so maybe they should just forget about it! :D

i am a true brit so one more, if your lucky we might just out number the immigrants
Please define what you mean as a 'true brit' then we can answer your question.
How many pure Celtics are there? They were the original Britons, Cornish, Welsh, Scots and Irish. Then came the Germans, Angles, Saxons and a few Danes. The Vikings conquered French Normandy and then the Norman French conquered England. Then the survivors of the Spanish Armada were added, plus refugees from the Netherlands. All during this time people were moving in and out of Britain. Jews came. Some non-whites came. So even by 1700 there weren't many "true" Brits.

You have to clarify your definition of a "true" Brit. I see a true Brit as a person who is born in Britain or who has chosen to be a British citizen. One who is completely loyal to the nation, without reservations of religion or race, who upholds the traditional ideals of British society and law.

That lets out a large portion of the population, probably including some who can trace their ancestors back for generations. It certainly lets out a large percentage of the Muslims and Indians, who have more loyalty to their own group than to the nation.

How many? It would be impossible to estimate.
It rather depends on how many generations you want to go back doesn't it? My mum was Irish and my dad English with a Scots grandad which means he most likely descends from somewhere in Europe. Doesn't make me very British does it?

I'd be grateful if I could stay a while though, at least until I find a new home in Ireland.
Well 500 are leaving everyday so I guess 500 less than yesterday :D
i think there are plenty , me and mine are for example thats makes ten alone im sure there are stacks , but i think it a bit of mixed variety makes it all very interesting...
I'm one, but true figures will never be known, the census does not take ethnicity accurately into context
all my history goes way back
my family are full blooded English
but a lot of my family moved to Australia for a better life i don't blame them
Respect
shaz
You don't want to know the answer otherwise you wuld had given more details. How can anyone sensibly and seriously answer it?
Aah... now that's an interesting question. How many of us are true brits and how would we know. If you think about it, us humans originated in Africa (about 1 in 5 caucasian people in predominantly caucasian countries still have African genes). In the UK's history we have been invaded by Germanic peoples (Danes, Swedes, Norwegians) when the vikings took over, then the Romans had us and then the French (Norman invasion) in 1066. The "true Brit" (and by that I presume you mean pearly white people - forgive me if I presume wrong) is actually a mish-mash of all sorts of races and ethnicities as is the "true African" or the "true Indian" as can be attested to by the mish-mash of genes in the genepool. In a nutshell, I don't really know.
What does it mean: "true brits"?
