If you persuade someone to get into your car because you are supposedly hiring them for a job, and then you take them somewhere else, that is KIDNAPPING. You will go to jail. If they know a lawyer, you will also be sued individually. You are absolutely nuts if you even think of the idea.
If you want to *call* the cops, go ahead. (They probably won't be interested. If they were, they would have arrested these guys long ago.) You might have better luck with the Bureau of Immigration. But if you try to take matters into your own hand, you are personally liable. Good luck!!
the problem would be if you picked up somebody who wasnt an illegal worker but somebody really hard up (u dont have to be illlegal to be out on the street lookingfor work) and then you would really have a law suit up your yellow butt. that might result, on them reallly working you to a pulp since that s what you were looking for in the first place.
That sounds like a question for a lawyer.
My guess is you would be arrested for kidnapping. Depending on where you live, they may or may not find 12 people to convict you. If they do, you will be going away for a long time. I would stick to just joking about it if I were you.
Nice idea, but yes, it is illegal.. Here is why.
They got into your car with the understanding you were going to take them to a work site. They certainly would not have gotten into your car if they knew you were going to turn them in. Therefore, the second you divert from the route to the work site, you have kidnapped them. You are taking them somewhere they do not want to go. You are going against their wishes. You have hijacked them.
When you get to the cops, they can immediately claim you kidnapped them. If there are 3-4 of them all saying the same thing, the cops can arrest you for it.
play it safe...use a truck, have them jump in the back...then go to the INS and honk your horn. there is such a video on youtube, but if i post it, i'll get a violation..and i dont want ANOTHER acct deleted

It's probably not legal to do that. At times it seems they have more rights than citizens. There should be a place where we can call to report them. Once a report is filed, of course, they should be arrested and deported!!

That's a great idea. Do it and demand the cops keep you apprised of what actions they take. Most of them will probably dump the day workers back on the streets the same day.
What we SHOULD do is this: If caught, they need to be sent to a work camp until they can earn enough money to pay the cost of plane fare for us to ship them back to the capital city of whatever country they came from and dump them off on their own governments.
No, I am not for amnesty, but we can not do any thing that makes us look like we are taking the law in our own hands. Even if the illegals are illegal they still have civil rights and that would be kidnapping

quite possibly if that became a regular fear they would no longer almost step in our way on Saturday mornings as we drive into Home Depot. They are VERY aggressive where I live - near San Jose, CA.
When I drive into Home Depot alone - and they step out into the driveway so I cannot pass - sorry not a safe feeling - and freaking stupid do they think I am that I would take them home to work on my house and let them know where I live.good Lord -
