What documentation does my boyfriend(an illegal immigrant) need so that we can get married?
Answer:
Depending on your states requirements, all you will need to get married is his birth certificate, and an ID of some sort; his consulate card, or his passport. This will not make the process of getting him legal any easier so don't think that it will. After you marry you need to start the process as soon as possible to try and see if you can apply for a visa, he will have to go back home. I am not sure for how long, but it can be for quite a while. My friend is a newly wed, and living without her husband while they wait on the paperwork. Good Luck.
He needs to document his trip back home and get in the back of the line!
Just his ID.
a visa, one with his name on it. that isnt expired.
if not your foolish for marrying him. Would ya like for him to get arrested while you are on your way to get married and deported?
tell him to do it right.
You can't marry anyone who is an illegal immigrant. You would have to send him back to his home country and start the process - which can be sped up by marriage. Do it right and noboy gets deported or thrown in jail on thier wedding day.
He will need to go home first and apply to re-enter.
A map so he can find his way back home, you are more than welcome to go with him.
When you apply for a marriage license, both of you will just fill out a form asking for personal information. Just in case the clerk will require your boy friend's birth certificate and passport, it is a good idea to bring those documents with you.
go to his country, get married and bring him here legally and get married here!
A plane ticket out of here. Dont ask for advice on how to break the law.
Just an ID, but depending on how long your BF stayed here illegally is the main factor. Talk to an immigration lawyer before you do anything. You don't want to make a mistake that would make things worse.
It sounds like you are trying to find a loop hole. You could be charged with conspiracy.
