I agree totally. Anyone trying to let political votes make their policy on what to do with illegals is just wrong. Regardless of who that party is. Of course the same on who they hire can be said on many fronts. In the ghetto, we had black-owned businesses and asian-owned, they all only hired their owned people. On the "other" side of town, the same trend happened. Whites took care of whites and no one else.

Most illegal Mexicans I know do not really understand American politics or the differences between our 2 major political parties. They just latch on to the strong, charismatic leaders in each party. Many do not like Bush since he is perceived to be anti-immigrant, making campaign promises to help them but "betraying" them by signing stricter laws on border security and immigration. The "hispanic rights" groups like la Raza side overwhelmingly with Democratic candidates. But on the moral issues hispanics are more conservative. If the GOP wants to get more of the hispanic vote it will have to try and take credit for giving immigrants more rights, as well as build bridges with the hispanic Catholic churches and emphasize their stance of being pro-life, pro-family, and traditional values.
well the truth is they'll vote for the one they think likes them, like the one girl above me said, most illegal Mexicans don't understand American politics. i for one do understand, not only because i studied my whole life here and I'm going into college. but i do understand how American politics work, however like i said not everyone is like and can understand politics. if they think a politician don't like them they wont vote for them. its a sad sad truth.

I don't think they will unless it's a fellow hispanic, like Villagrosa! I remember the last presidential election, all the Bush bumper car stickers and ads I saw were on Hispanics cars and in their windows and lawns. The ones in L.A. seem conservative, but it could have just been Bush promising a work program that swayed their votes! They will vote in whomever promises to benefit them the most, just like everybody else. It really doesn't matter, there will never be a Hispanic President because the Electoral college is crooked!LOL! Well at least not for a few more decades!
