'Why do assimilated Mexicans lose their language and find Spanglish acceptable?'?
Answer:
If they come here to live legally then they should become Americans in every sense of the word
they want to perserve their culture..
I know many people who are from Mexico and are naturalized citizens. They don't speak Spanglish. They are educated, hard working people who contribute much to the US as a whole.
My mom is a native Spanish speaker , and will either speak to me in perfect English, or in perfect Spanish. Sometimes it is easier to belt out certain phrases completely in one or the other depending on the 'phraseology'.
Oddly enough, I will answer her in whichever language she asks me in, to remain as effective.
Funny thing is, my Dad is Irish, but don't ever ask me to speak perfect Gaelic!
is not that, you must be really ignorant to know what you're talking about. I was born in north Mexico, because we were raise as bi-cultural people, many people speak "Spanglish" but we do speak both languages.
spanglish is awesome!
