Deporting, not to mention finding 12 million illegals would be costly and lengthy. Our courts would be overburdened with the task of proving these people are illegal thus consuming more of your tax dollars. Can we say DUH???
This is clearly impossible. Overpopulation is a big problem, whether it be families having a lot of children or utilizing a lot of energy - air conditioning huge houses for instance and paying their Mexican servants very little, in comparison to their utility bills. Our borders are political.
I do think land restoration in this area is imperative. Oil and overgrazing, not just cattle either. So much of this area looks like the Middle East. Replanting and restoring the Cactus Curtain (by both countries) would do a lot to improve relationships between the two countries. Ask Middle Eastern land restoration experts for advice; we've sent ours to Iraq. Pool strategies. Except for dunes, the situation is almost identical.
The U.S. Government would not have to deport any illegal immigrants if only they were to enforce the laws already on the books.
Start punishing employers that knowingly employ illegal immigrants. I’m not speaking of a slap on the hand; I mean hard time in the gray-bar motel.
After a few corporate leaders found themselves behind bars for trying to save a few bucks, the rest would take the hint and not hire illegal immigrants.

How would our government know if it would be impossible?? They never tried to send back the illegals nor have they ever devised and ENFORCED any policy. Since they are here illegally, they are therefor a criminal. how about a airline called "ConAir". If they are from south of the border, roundem' up from around the country and fly/bus/train them to a major hub near the border and from there as we would any other criminal who is being deported. And the same applies for criminals from any other country...ship em' back just like their deported friends.

It can easily be done. I can't believe how "impossible it is" to deport. Confiscate their brand new trucks and rims and things and use the proceeds to pay for deportation. Trust me, most of America want to assist!
