We are all part of the Human race. It would be against a Doctors or Nurses ethics to not treat someone that is in need.
Every person has the right to a healthy life. There should be ways in which people in poverty, not just illegal Immigrants can be helped to deal with a lot of health issues before they become bigger issues and put a strain on a countries health system.
No that would be cruel, a doctors first responsibility is to help people, regardless of their status or their ability to pay. Sucks for doctors who get screwed, but that's the oath they take

No, that would just be punishing doctors and nurses for doing their duties. It would be unethical for them not to treat someone who needed emergency care. Also, no responsible doctor would stop to check a bleeding patient for I.D.

I think the whole point is we don't know who the illegal immigrants are. They don't were signs stating that they are illegal. If they don't have insurance or proper id then they aren't going to be treated by most hospitals and respected doctors anyways. So making some sort of law would be a waste of time. There is already a law about illegal immigrants, hence the word illegal. But you can't go door to door asking everyone in the country if they are illegal or not.

I'm a nurse and I decided that I wanted to treat anyone who needed help. At the end of the day if you want to take compassionate nurses and doctors out of the already faltering system go ahead, but I don't think that is the correct approach. We don't have enough doctor's around to be rebuking their licenses, I agree the system is sick but this is not the answer.
They do do all those things to our health care system, and the money for their treatment comes from tax payers. But doctors take an oath to treat anybody that needs it, so it would make them liars not to.
Even as opposed to illegal immigration as I am, this is just wrong.

No, every human should have access to medical help, even if they`re here illegally. They should just send the bill to Mexican government. If enough bill collectors went after Mexico, THEY would build the wall.
since people generally do not admit to being illegals it would be impossible to enforce such a law. however, if an illegal is hurt on the job the employer should be held responsible for payment of the bill. this too would be very difficult to prove as i am sure no illegal is going to turn in his employer.
No, I don't think that it should be illegal. But they should pay for it. They don't give us americans free healthcare. They should take care of their own citizens before they take care of illegals. So many americans die each year because they can't pay for much needed treatments to get well. They also give out too many drugs in which people dont need and the people who need them don't get them.

Sounds good to me, but a doctor takes a Oath, and few will break it. I think the best way is declare the month of November " deport month" , and let every law enforcement person in the US start doing it. Maybe by Thanksgiving Day, we will have something even more to be thankful for.
Doctors should refuse if the illegal cannot pay at that moment. Otherwise, tax payers foot the bill. I feel bad letting someone die, even if they are illegal, but I don't think the right to care/treatment with or without insurance pertains to those who aren't citizens. BUT after treatment, they should pay for their deportation.
AND has anyone been to the ER lately? You are asked not only for your name and address, but your driver's license, SSN, and your employers address. I'm sure we can determine if someone is illegal or not.

Everyone needs to be treated...we just need to figure out how to keep illegals out, or tax their wages and then the hospitals would have greater access to funds.

No, I don't think it should be left up to our doctors and nurses to refuse help to anyone legal or illegal. It should be up to the US government to enforce the laws we have or come up with a better plan.
No, proper medical treatment should be given. However, all doctors and nurses should be required to then turn those who are illegal in. If any follow up care is needed, it can be performed in their own country. If they are not suffering from a life threatening illness, they should be denied treatment. It's not fair that I as an American citizen that pays taxes cannot get free healthcare, but they can. It's absurd.

The exception to that is for instance if some person, even an illegal was say hit by a car and might die. life saving emergency care I believe is the humane thing to do for anyone.
