Greetings my fellow Americans. Lately have been wondering if Washington just keeps covering our eyes from one?

I think G.W. played everyone with his so called security reports about weapons of mass destruction. This was his father's war and we were far to complascent. The sad part is I think the people should be able to vote on issues as serious as war, immigration, and other relevant subjects that involve the health and welfare of this nation. I'll bet more people will be voting on who represents their interests in Washington from now on! I do think that there are many subversive plots going on that we will not hear of until it's too late, like the war in Iraq. You can't win a civil war! It's the country in questions job to come to terms with and settle. Too many of our best have died for these animals and it's awful. They'd have snuck this immigration thing right past us if we weren't vigilant!

I think you are suggesting the immigration bill was a distraction, whereas having read it I think it was an attempt to fully access for employer 'benefit packages' our taxpayer funded services and an attack on the civil liberties of legal aliens.
However, I actually think things are shifting on Iraq - because things are shifting on the Republican side. I think the Republicans against sustained engagement in Iraq are just more likely to say 'just do it, don't give our enemies a promise that no matter what, we'll go' because a promise would encourage the other side.
I think they're up there dancing for all to see and begging us to put dollars in their g strings.
