If illegal aliens use stolen social security numbers to get jobs, how much do they claim in withholdings?
Better yet, they can't get any money back because they SSN's are fake!
(Can you picture the self-satisfied sneer of superiority? They think they've concocted a holier-than-thou bullet-proof arguement!)
But I have great aim and I've found a silver bullet too...
What tax withholdings do they claim with their false SSNs? Isn't it more likely that they actually do not have ANY taxes withheld?
Quote from IRS website:
"If your income is low enough that you will not have to pay income tax for the year, you may be exempt from withholding."

Answer:
Plus, they get amnesty for any SS fraud they may have committed:
(Sec. 614) Amends the Social Security Act to exempt blue card aliens from prosecution for social security-related identity or payment false statements if such conduct occurred prior to the granting of blue card status. Makes such provision effective on the first day of the seventh month that begins after the date of enactment of this Act.
NONE! Reference my answer on this post.

what ever! they should go to jail for using false ssn's in the first place. forget everything else there in this country using false papers or at worst someone else's. what if they used your ss number to get benefits and you coulded? think about that or if they drained your ssn account somehow and you wer left with nothing .. they should go to jail!! .. if we did it we would!!
None because they cant do taxes if they using a number that don't belong to them. But the actual person that the number belongs to can claim those credits when they do their taxes.
Since social security is the biggest retirement plan for most US citizens I think tampering with any component of it should carry a mandatory 20 years sentence.Anything from politicians swindling from it right down the line to someone buying or stealing one.
most of illegal immigrants use a fake ssn when their get the first job in the US but after awhile they learn from others in the same position that they can apply for a IRS form (w 9 form ) so they can paid legally taxes to the state and to the federal goverment !
doing that helps them with big points with the INS when they apply for a permit for residency!!
so the goverment gets profits from them too!
Like always generalizing the whole group- we should then generalize legal, united states citizens and residents that know every trick in the book to avoid having to pay taxes, so stop trying to convince people that they don't pay taxes because they do.
Who ever said that ''Illegals" use social security #'s to claim taxes? They might use them to work but they DO NOT use them to report their taxes. If you didn't know by now (since you're snoopin around at the IRS website) .... there's this little magic form that you can fill out and mail to the IRS. You will then be given a number that is called an "Individual Taxpayer Identification Numbers (ITIN)"
In order to claim 5 dependents (as you said) they would ALL have to have a valid SS# --- which makes no sense to me, how could your wife (or husband) and your 4 children all have social security #'s and you don't? Illegals that are married to a person who is a us citizen or permanent resident (along with their kids) can apply for their residency and have it very quickly.
I think you might need some classes honey, I've worked for many different companies that employ illegal aliens and have personally seen with my own eyes what their w-4's look like. EVERYONE GETS TAXES WITHHELD WHETHER THEY ARE LEGAL OR ILLEGAL!
You seriously make NO SENSE!
RE:Quote from IRS website:

Did you even bother to look into the whole website. You are only exempt from paying taxes if your gross income was below $10,000 ---
Haters!
There is this huge misconception that illegal immigrants that work in the US do not pay taxes. Every single one that I know here in NY do. They get the TIN #, claim their kids and get taxes back for said children. The ones that are paid under the table, just like Americans citzens, do not pay income taxes.
Also, you have to take into consideration, that there are lots of other taxes that we pay. We pay tax on clothes, gas, food(resturants) ect ect ect. Just like wanting our town or city to have a good tourist season, because it brings money to said town, the same applys for illegal immigrants. They contribute to our economy on many levels.
As for they get social services from our goverment, that's obserd. How can they get social services, such as welfare, if they do not have a SSN? Their children that are born here, who are citzens, do get medicaid (if they qualify). They do not get welfare. They do not get food stamps.
Heathcare. Just like a huge % of the population that are citzens, they do not have it. If they go to the ER, which the ones that I know very very rarely do unless they MUST, they get billed just like anyone else. Most of them, illegal immigrants, either pay for their doctors, or do not go at all. In Mexico, they don't have insurance, so they are used to having to pay to see a doc. The only illegal immigrants that get heath care are the women while they are pregenate only. Just like any citizen that doesn't have heathcare during pregancy.
Right... typically illegal aliens do not use any SSN when getting a job, instead they simply work under the table with employers who don't care about employing illegals.
The employers have three main reasons for doing this... 1) they don't have to pay minimum wage (counter to the intent the minimum wage actually stimulates illegal immigration, and reduces employment for American workers, leading to the exact opposite of the intent of the law, greater poverty... isn't that great), 2) they don't have to worry about paying taxes, an advantage for both employer (don't have to pay accountants/tax preparers) and employee (able to keep the money they earn), and 3) plausable denyability, the INS has to actually catch the workers when they are working at the workplace to be able to tie the employer to the employees... no paper trail.
