Some of my friends (hispanic) have been called dirty names, because people thought they were ILLEGALS, even though they were LEGALLY born here in the U.S. to legal parents!!!
All the hispanic people that i know (and i know a LOT, since i live in the southwest) are ASHAMED of the ILLEGALS!!! They feel EXACTLY the same way about these GREEDY S.O.B.s that I do!!!

Not such thing...They do give a bad name yes to the country they come from....Bcause they come to demand things here in the US that is not their country...Demand in your own country not here...I am Hispanic and really is a shame on all the illegals that tey demand here for rigths etc. You name it...Why they don't do that in their own country???And that goes for all he illegal inmigrants don't matter were they are from....
I do think they give the legal immigrants a bad name. They aren't here to make America their home. They are here to work and send the money back home or they are here because they believe that this is their country and we stole it from them. They aren't willing to assimilate in either case. This is what gives legal immigrants a bad name. We as Americans tend to lump them all together because there are so many illegals who are unwilling to assimilate.
Edit ~ jcboyle the reason why she is singling out Hispanics is because there are MILLIONS here illegally, not thousands. We could handle thousands, but when it becomes millions it changes the fabric of a society.

I think any illegals give legals a bad name, but I think it's more pronounced with the Hispanics because there are so many of them. I don't care who immigrates and who gets the benefits as long as they do it legally. If they don't, they're nothing more than criminals.

Absolutely. They have no respect for our laws, can't be trusted, their motives are not pure and they are criminals. We do not need any more criminals in this country. We need criminals to be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. We need to withhold our taxes and all federal money to government employees until they enforce the laws regarding immigration and secure our borders and protect the citizens of the United States and its legal residents from all enemies and invaders, foreign and domestic. That includes those who hire, harbor and help illegal immigrants. Call out the National Guard, check the green cards and use May 1st as the true Loyalty Day it is intended to be by ensuring that all illegal immigrants in this country are arrested and put to work in concentration camps pending their return to their country of origin. (Slavery is not illegal when it is done as a punishment for crimes committed). We should all exercise our rights as citizens and refuse to pay our taxes on April 17th if the government does not immediately enforce our immigration laws.

Yes. America is a very stereotypical country. We are the type of people as a whole, that if one person of a certain race does something it is automatically assumed that all do. For instance, Afghan people. Bin Laden orchestrated 9/11, and after that, lots of Arabs caught sh*t because of it. Had it been a black guy, blacks would have caught it. So, with mexican illegals, its pretty much the same.
They do lower the bar. Not all the Hispanics support illegal imagination they themselves work hard,saved their money,made sacrifices, waited in line to come here. If we are to live in world where fake documents are a way of life,where it's OK to use any story to accomplish their goals regardless of how it's done. Where it is OK to have kids knowing that US kids qualify for government benfits for 18 years.

I think they do to an extent...I know it tends to make me view Hispanics here in Ohio with a bit of suspicion--I'm always thinking, is that person here legally? Why Hispanics? Because most of our illegal immigration problem is with Mexicans.
You can't really tell if someone is here legally just by looking at them, that's the problem. At least I can't.
