That "we were here first" argument is bogus altogether. When they were here, there were no free social services; no free education; no welfare; no free transportation; no free heathcare... Now that legal Americans pay for these services with their tax dollars, they of course believe they have the right to these services.

Yes. Mexicans do not like the united states. IF you knew what they call us ("gringos pendejos") in spanish you would be even angrier. Mexico actually teaches their children in schools that Texas belongs to Mexico. Any poster who says it is racist to criticize racist rants by mexicans is beyond me. Thats what they think of us, and these are the people controling our immigration policy.

No, I expected it I guess... "The Donald" warned her ahead of time that she may experience some ill sentiment from some of the people of Mexico due to our current boiling point in the US over illegal immigration, she was prepared for the booing and handled it with class, which I also expected.
I do not condone violence, how about we just send them home... Stop employers from hiring illegals (which will cure the problem) and simply send them home, along with all the other illegals from other countries.

It was in exceedingly poor taste, no manners or ettiquette to draw from apparently. Luckily not all of them are here! But to be so rude to her is beyond ridiculous. Perhaps they are angry that we're going to send the illegals back so that they can deal with them again. Miss USA is not a political figure and should not have been treated as such. I can't imagine how awful she must have felt. Just one more reason why we don't pump up their economy anymore and Americans, please, find another vacation spot from now on! BTW, you're right on about the Vikings.

I think it's unfortunate that they boo'd *if* it was about immigration. The program was for entertainment. It's about as bad as celebrities here in the U.S. using the Academy Awards and other programs to promote their political agendas. It's the wrong forum for it and it just makes them look bad. IMO.

Just a little anthropology lessonl. Many people believe that the Vikings were here first. Sort of true. There were approximately 4 other peoples before or at the same time as the vikings. Vikings were in the North Eastern part of America and Canada, you can see some of the "sites" Near Nova Scotia and the coast of Vermont. The Inuits can trace their ancestors when the land bridge was still intact in Alaska and there is proof of an indegionous groups as early as 8500 BC from the Northern and Western coasts. There are also some branches of Indian tribes that have burial mounds in New Mexico some dating back to over 3000 yrs that had migrated north during some earthquakes and land eruptions in Central America. Many "Mexican" people (Spanish/Mayan) mixed, can not claim land unless they can prove their Native heritage is more Native than Spanish and there has been a long on going protest and petition to their government for land rites for those of pure blood. Even Mexico city was built on top of Teotihuacan, the great Aztec civilization that Spain had taken (not conquered) from them and forced their culture on another. Even the Catholic Church next to the Presidential palace is built on top of the Great Temple of the city and some of the blocks were used to build some of the original political buildings you see today. They can not come and claim a land that their indian ancestors truly deserted nor can Viking ancestors come and do the same of the North East. But as George Santiago, Europes and Americas greatest social reform educator during the 1800's said, "Those who do not learn from history will be doomed to repeat it."
