Is't better to immigate to Canada under the skilled worker section or the family section ?

In October 2005, I applied to immigrate to Canada under the field of Skilled worker, a month ago I got married to a Canadian man therefore I informed the embassy accordingly.

The embassy is asking if I want to withdraw my file under the skilled worker field & convert to the family field so my husband can sponsor me to Canada.

Which one do you think is better ? shall I keep my file under the skilled worker fieled ? or it's better to let my husband sponsor me there ? noting that I'm a self - dependable person

Answer:
As wife of a Canadian you will be able to immigrate for sure. As a skilled worker applicant, you won't know until they tell you.

The only drawback is that as "family" your sponsor will be taking care of you for 10 years. Which means if you for some reason get out of work, he will be asked by the government to pay part of your support.
