Would getting rid of NAFTA help solve the illegal immigration problem?
Answer:
yes it would
Ross perot said in 1992 that NAFTA would make our illegal immigration problem worse
he was right about everything
Yes it sure would. And now we know this North American Union must never happen.
I don't know about that , but I believe eliminating the income tax, repealing the 16th amendment, eliminating the IRS and passing the Fair Tax(H.R.25/S.1025)will help to solve the illegal immigration problem.
Draw your own conclusions! Ask your self a question, how has it helped the Average American to prosper? Read the Ten Planks of Communism while you are at it!
Illegal immigratio existed prior to Nafta. My theory says it would help a whole lot though.
I think so. It sure hasn't panned out in any way like they said it would.
In my opinion yes, it was supposed to be a trade off but so far it has been anything but...
Since the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) was signed in 1993, the rise in the U.S. trade
deficit with Canada and Mexico through 2002 has caused the displacement of production that
supported 879,280 U.S. jobs. Most of those lost jobs were high-wage positions in manufacturing
industries. The loss of these jobs is just the most visible tip of NAFTA’s impact on the U.S.
by Robert E. Scott
By the way those figures are older figures, they are higher now.
It might.
There would be dislocation at first, but, you know what?
I say we should give it a try!
nafta is not the answer. illegal immigration is primarily due to
money wired from the US to Latin American countries. Control wired money or at least tax it and alot of problems would be solved. You have to remember that most Latin American countries economy depend on money wired. Latin American as well as other countries get up to 35% of their GNP from wired money.
