Has somebody aplied for a R1 Visa, was that easy or takes time?
Answer:
The R visa program is full of fraud. Applicants are now being intensely screened. No, it's not easy to get an R visa.
The sponsoring organization needs to file form I-129 for you.
I am assuming you will be trying to get an R-1 visa as an "other religious worker" i.e. you are not a priest.
The requirements are pretty straight forward so you will have a good idea whether you meet them or not. Chances are you will be in a gray area as an christian "broadcaster" so it will all depend on your education (religious in nature or not) and prior experience (religious or not). The less convincing the argument about the religious nature of your work, experience and education, the more difficult it wil be for you to get the visa.
A lot rides on the type of organization that is sponsoring you.
In my experience it takes 3-6 months.
The fees are listed on www.uscis.gov
The attorney fees...well, it depends whether your organization is using one, what state you are in, how experienced is that particular attorney.
Hope this helps.
