Why is the blame only placed on the illegal immigrants...?
It seems to me that everyone that has a problem with illegal immigration should go to the source of their reason for coming...more opportunities for work which US CITIZENS are happily providing them!

Why is the blame only placed on the illegal immigrants...? Who else could they blame .... the have nothing better do do! If they were to deport all the illegals ... the wouldn't have anyone else to blame things on.... what people would they move on to blaming next (they would probably start blaming all the black or middle eastern people next).
Like I said before, if nothing gets done to document illegals (this goes for all anti-immigration reform supporters) NOTHING OF WHICH YOU ARE COMPLAINING ABOUT WILL EVER CHANGE UNTIL SOMETHING GETS DONE!! See how many people on here bitc* about how "illegals spend my taxes. they're on welfare. they make my insurance go up. they get free education & health care..WAH WAH WAH...*tear*

In regards to some comments about "jobs that americans won't do" ---- I guess they're just afraid that their GED won't be good enough anymore. Immagine having to compete with that? (NOT VERY HARD) They should try going to college & get an education!

People are upset with companies and people who don't hire legally. But initially, the law breaker is he who is here illegally in the first place.
Illegals, companies and corporations, our government. Not necessarily in that order.
You don't know what the hell you're talking about. If you don't think people aren't upset with globalization, outsourcing and things like NAFTA you should do some research before ranting.
By definition 'illegal' immigrants are 'illegal'. The hiring of said immigrants is also 'illegal'. Both are equally at fault.
tell you what, you pay me and a bunch of Americans to sit at home and find out all the company's who hire illegals. and we will go boycott them. sound good? yes it's the company's fault for hiring them. but it is their fault for coming here and keeping wages low.

I see your point but it can also be turned around and said that if illegals did not cross the border then those companies wouldn't have any cheap labor to hire and thus those jobs would have to go to Americans. All depends on how you look at it. But yes they are upset with both.
Cybersharque: Treat them so poorly? Tell me which country offers people who are illegally in their country, therefore criminals, free health care? Free education? Free civil and social benefits? Yep they are being treated so badly in the USA. Fill me in on if they had the resources what they would be fighting back against? The free health care? Free education? Free civil and social benefits? Miguel: The statement that illegals take jobs Americans don't want is a MYTH. This week a factory in Ohio was raided by the INS. 168 illegal aliens were arrested and deported. Guess what? The following morning 300 local citizens were lined up outside that factories doors all applying for those now vacant positions.
If they did not sneak across the border in the first place than companies wouldn't be hiring them. Which came first the chicken or the egg?

That's why they take the jobs they do. So because they chose not to finish High School I have welcome them here and take care of them? I graduated from High School and went to college and I chose not to work in the fields because I have a HIGHER education, just like the other AMERICANS here have. The way to judge the moral fiber of a person or a group is to examine how they treat the most powerless people they encounter. America's moral fiber is corrupt and decaying by the hour, which is why we treat the immigrants so very poorly. They don't have the means to fight back.
"By the way", most of us learned about the continent, America, many decades ago. We weren't idiotic enough to think no one else knew that and we didn't start trying to change well-known and traditional names of citizens of any country. Get a freaking grip.
Answer this, If you had a Company, not a large company but a small business and you could make a little profit if you hired an illegal vs. no one else wanted to work for the same wage, what would you do?
Oh we do get upset with the people who make them think that what they are doing is OK, Like to use this analogy when discussing illegal immigration, " when a dog pees in the floor, do you give him a treat and say 'good boy' or do you stick his butt where he belongs, back outside" same with illegals we should round them all up and ship them back on a short bus, with a sign that says, " keep your trash off our lawn!!"
I am not so upset with the 'illegals' as I am with our country for allowing every Tom Dick and Harry in our borders then want to support them and give them all the benfits we immigrants and our forefathers worked so hard for. Yes, GREED is ruling our country. Civil unrest is brewing.
First we asked the legal immigrants to come here. We gave them a visa and said "welcome". If we have to many legal immigrants we should lower the number allowed to come here.
I am mad at the companies...listen to talk radio lots (millions?) of people are calling for large ($1 million per hire) fines to companies that hire illegals. This doesn't mean we shouldn't protect our borders and deport illegals - we need to do all of these things.

Open your eyes a little more and you will get the real picture.
Since our society has accepted the abortion and gay rights issues there is little to really argue about. I mean, we have become so accepting of gays and women killing their unborn that we have to find another issue to get angry about. Well, immigration has become that issue due to 9/11.
The poor blacks in this country don't know where to stand on this issue. Their minority status has been pushed to number two in our country. They are the #2 minority race in this country now. But, to agree to the deportation of these 12 million illegals and become the #1 minority again, they must agree with the majority of the WHITE population. That will be a push for them.
Companies have been doing this for years and will continue as long as other countries allow their fellow countrymen to become slaves to them. As soon as those countries wake up, those companies move to another. There will always be the companies and the rich that take advantage of others lower status.
You are on the right track though. Just don't try to look at those type issues with "Rose colored glasses" on. You will start wanting to throw money at it and take everyone's money in the form of taxes.
Because unfortunately you can not shame companies or employers into obeying the laws or doing whats right for the US, saving $$ is more important and if I hear the word global or NAFTA one more time. Your are right though our blame should be on companies and employers who hire illegal immigrants also, the illegal immigrants would not even be here if there was not a demand. We need significant penalties and fines for companies and employers if cheap labor was no longer cheap then we could slow this thing down and put blame where blame is due.
About calling ourselves American, sorry I will not PC myself to death so someone else can be happy. We are not the only ones who use the word American to refer to the people of the US, in fact when you say the word American everyone knows the EXACT geographic location that you are referring to. If you want to live in the PC world to make others happy then have at it but do not expect the rest of us to comply.

Thanks for the Geography lesson. I don't blame the illegals that come here looking for a better life. And in some cases I don't blame employers for hiring them at lower wages. There are jobs that people in this country people will simply not do, even if the wages were good. Also, look at the unemployment rate. It is low right now. I am guessing that most that want a job have one. Take away the illegals and there probably won't be enough people to fill the jobs. Frankly, I don't see that the illegals are taking work away from anybody, in my area anyway. On the other hand, some come here looking to steal or sell drugs for a living. We don't need more of that, we have enough of our own. Or more gangs. All that being said, the fact remains that the key word is illegal. If we have laws, we need to enforce them. If not, change the laws.
I am upset with the companies that hire them but, they tachnically are not doing anything illegal since most illegal aliens do provide them with the proper documentation that they want. It is not left to the local retailer to enforce immigration law. As many have said if the Illegal aliens weren't coming in, there wouldn't be an issue. As to outsourcing, I think it is unethical but, not illegal.
Most other countries do not refer to us as "people of the United States". As a well traveled world traveler, when I meet foreigners, they typically ask me if I am an American and I proudly tell them yes. I have never ever been asked or refered to as a person of the United States so I'm afraid that your grip on reality isn't very strong or you wouldn't feel the need to be so defensive when people answer your question.
